Yep 7 fights ago, Gennady is stuck in the airport, fights Ouma and destroys him completely. Ouma goes to the hospital and spends some time there, they find a blood clot and hasn't fought since. The fight was competitive, you can easily, and I mean easily compare it to Abdusalamov-Perez. Magomed took a harsh beating and is on life support, but gave Perez hell through 12 rounds, same as Ouma did against GGG through the 10 rounds he lasted.

I'd pick a prime Ouma to beat GGG.

I agree with this. GGG has a lot more to gain by beating Ward than the other way around.

If GGG can beat Froch, for example, the fight becomes that much bigger for both guys.

Fighting Froch first is a win-win for all parties involved.
For Froch it's money as it would be ppv in UK, and adds to resume if he wins.
For Golovkin it's an obvious step up in the level of opposition and boosts his ratings if he wins. + money
For Ward it's fighting a fully legitimate opponent Golovkin (if he wins), a KO artist, and thus a ppv event and solid resume.
