those sound like excuses to me

True champions will do whatever it takes to prove they're the best.

Pacquiao is the only one like that in this generation, the only true atg contender.

I'm not defending him by any means, it's no different then when Broner and Garcia say they're friends and won't fight. Bullshit.

Pacquiao is a true warrior, but he isn't the only one from this generation that fought all comers though...

So is the 18 ft jumper in basketball. That's why so many of today's players are still behind Kobe and Duncan and why so many young players don't make it.

He's pursued whatever challenge the fans asked of him. He didn't back down from anyone or anything, he hasn't shown any fear or hesitation whatsoever. The whole Debacle with the Floyd negotiations was Bob Arum's doing. Bob Arum didn't want that fight because Floyd wanted more money than he was willing to give.

Pacquiao isn't scared to fight Floyd lol. He's already publicly agreed to everything he asked, and he almost left top rank to sign with 50 cent to make the fight happen but thats the same time Floyd bounced.

50 even admitted in interviews after they split that Floyd didn't want to fight Pacquiao, and they would get into arguments over it because fifty wanted to make money.

But you made an attempt at derailing this thread.

Yes, they are all things he can learn, even at his age so he can get much better. I just doubt that Bob risks his earning (and top ranks profit margin) potential with another matchup that reduces the importance of power to win.

Nonito doesn't appear to have what he needs to beat the guys mentioned.
He can cut off the ring fine (Arce fight). Cutting off the ring is just useless if the guy you are fighting has elite countering ability ala Rigo. Rigo convincingly beat Donaire, I just was making the point that Donaire is still top shelf - very fast, with a big punch. That combination makes you dangerous against any opponent (hence the KD against the cream of the crop).

He is just clearly not the best of the bunch. It was totally all his excuses and threats before and after the Rigondeaux fight that caused most of the dislike for Donaire. Before that he was almost universally liked.
                      It was a legit KD.

And if you wanna talk about KDs then lets talk about Rigo making Donaire cover his eye like a little b*tch. Actually, scratch that, Rigo made Donaire his b*tch the whole fight.

I am a huge Martinez fan. Huge. But that 12th round KD at the hands of Fatty McGee is the closest Martinez has been to really losing since the Margarito fight. Did Sergio still outclass him and inarguably win the fight? Absolutely. But did Jr. prove a worthy opponent on the night? I'd have to say so - because of that KD.
