You said "Dont forget Donaire KDed Rigo." Like it was some type of mile high accomplishment or some ****. The KD isn't as relevant as you make it seem. For the simple fact that Rigo completely DOMINATED Donaire for the rest of that round.

Acting as if it was not a big accomplishment simply undermines Rigo. He put Rigo on the canvas - that's all I said. I stated it to aptly point out that Donaire was not some complete can in there as many are now acting in hindsight.

When his promoter and team provide reasons to avoid the 3 best fights at or near his weight its reasonable to think he is being protected.



The arce fight showed He can cut off the ring against old fighters with below avg movement who were 5-1 underdogs. Cutting off the ring was only one basic skill he didn't show he had. He has power, but he isn't very fast.

He's dangerous for all the 2nd and 3rd tier guys like vic and arce. I'm not so confident he can beat an elite fighter.

He has beaten a couple elite fighters. That's how he got into the P4P discussion pre-Rigo in the first place. Folks in hindsight may say it was simply because he was bigger, but the dude was makin' the weight.

This makes no sense... They already fought... It was a blow out? If anybody has the right to run from another fighter its the guy that got schooled the first time around

B...b...but Rigo is a boring runner and Donaire is the exciting fighter! The only reason people booed at Donaire's other fights is because his opponents wouldn't let Donaire KO them.

if you're a confident fighter in your prime you take the rigondeaux rematch. it's not like orlando salido is going to make you rich. this is a small guy, and never going to be on ppv.

This right here has been my exact analysis process of what happened sure he said he wanted the fight, but what did he do? moved up and didn't ask Arum to move a finger to really make it.

A fighter who wants to box still, and prove he is the best would have moved heaven and earth to rematch. Rigo was never offered anything. That being said i do agree loosing to Rigondeaux doesn't make the guy a turd, Rigondeaux could dominate and outbox anybody but Donaire's desire to compete, and be the best may be gone, maybe because of that last round with Rigo he is thinking of his health or raising his baby .

I think Rigo would rematch Donaire at 126. What would the difference be, Donaire rehydrating a few more pounds? The problem at 126 would be someone like Mikey who are too big for that division (obviously).

Donaire still rehydrated to 140 last time, I know Rigo could but i don't think he should, he is the super champ he is the boss moving up to face Donaire at 126 and give Donaire even a bigger weight advantage would just seem like he is just chasing a paycheck Rigo even said he would face him at 124 catch-weight, and that would be fair the dude is still 5'4. But he never even got an offer at 126 for him to turn down, the guy obviously has lost the passion for the sport after Rigo like i said up there or maybe just wants a confidence boost, I don't know how else to explain the opponent choice he made.

He's said he wants Rigo at FW, not SBW. Rigo made it clear he isn't moving up.

I'm not saying he has to move up for Donaire... He doesn't since he won

But there are much better opponents for Rigo to fight at featherweight and above, so why doesn't he get any **** for not wanting to move up?

Lol dude, Donaire ducked Rigo for a whole year and when the fight finally got made he was looking for ways out. Did you really think he'd make an effort for a rematch? He said what he said just top save face.

As far as the weight goes, Im not worried about it. Rigo has made a living fighting bigger guys.
