I started noticing Mago's face swelling up on the left side and told my bro, he might have something broken or something cause that **** looks weird. After that I saw the cut on his eyelid and I actually texted my bro "they might stop this fight." In the end they didn't.

Sure Mago is a puncher and anything could happen in that ring. But his punches were not affecting Perez and as the fight went on his shots were losing steam too.

So you'd stop a fight for a cut which wasnt affecting his vision that badly and a broken nose?

Very few would imo. He was still in the fight, still landing punches, the corner were well within their rights to let the fight continue. Obviously it turned out to be the wrong choice but as has been said multiple times, hindsight gives us all 20/20 vision

It is amazing how Magomed fought thru all of this without whining or frowning once, what a spirit. He came out every round going forward. Warriors get thru tough moments and he will get thru this, this man has a golden spirit and he will come out of this a winner. I have no doubt about that.

This is just incompetence IMO incompetence firstly on the premise that Mago a Professional Boxer has NO HEALTH INSURANCE ? who's taking care of him ? who's in charge of his health because if you're going to be a professional fighter how are you going to recover without health insurance. It seems his management is cheap, the promoters are greedy scumbags that hid his actual condition and manipulated the article until word actually leaked out that he had a stroke. Now their trying to cover up their own asses by pretending they are the saints setting up a "Trust Fund" for Abdusalamov, i smell horse**** shady shady shady horsecrap

i also blame his ****** brother and father they see he's not winning the fight taking so much damage and yet they don't care to stop the fight idiots all of them just idiots.

It wasn't just a cut and a broken nose. His whole left side of his fkin face was swollen man. I was on a stream ON MY PHONE and saw that ****. That's how bad it was. Add the fact that the dude was doing no damage to Perez and was fatigued and yes I would've.

To those criticizing the refs and his corner, etc., I disagree. This is an anomalous occurrence in heavyweights. Heavyweight fighters by and large DO NOT go into comas and have strokes regardless of the fight. The fighters in lower weights who drain themselves to make weight and then absorb a large accumulation of flush shots while dehydrated and exhausted are the ones who end up the worst. Fighters like Holy, Brewster, Mercer, Tyson, and many others have taken several beatings on par with what Mago was dealt. They generally recover. For heavyweights, pugilistic dementia (i.e. Bowe) is a consideration but ending up in a coma is something that almost never happens.
