Stop blaming his corner and the ref. It was an entertaining fight and both of them took some big punches. At what point do we know enough is enough? Bradley took even more punishment against Ruslan but I don't hear anyone giving Joel Diaz or the ref a hard time for not stopping the fight.Comment

Mag was competitive throughout the whole fight, it really wouldn't have made sense to stop it.
This is yet another reason there should be smaller gloves in boxing, no way does he take that many punches with smaller gloves. He'd take less damage and would've wound up getting stopped MUCH earlier.Comment

I hope he pulls through, this is terrible news. I cannot believe its turned for the worst. Boxing can be such a brutal sport at times, and I myself am guilty of calling fighters quitters and cowards at times, but nothing is worth your life. This man fought with too much courage and now in his misfortune is paying for it in the worst possible way. He didn't deserve this and no boxer does.Comment

Agreed! I just heard about this today and am floored. That was a great fight! And to think, Max Kellerman suggested that Magomed's corner think about stopping the fight.
Let this be a lesson to all the keyboard warriors out there who blast fighters for quitting during brutal fights when they have virtually no chance of victory.Comment
