Why do some posters seem to have personal hate towards some fighters?

The so-called fans who are haters that become fanatics have never stepped into a ring and taken a punch in their face and chest!!!
So its easy to not appreciate what a fighter does to be a fighter. Some have more skills than others but that shouldn't mean t6heir disrespected.
If your favorite fighter accepts a contract to fight someone why degrade his opponent? If he wins isn't it an accomplishment or if he looses can't it be against someone who's more talented?
Their fighters who are not top tier talents who trai hard and compete at a high level just because their talents aren't on the same level as top tier guys doesn't dismiss their efforts.
Fans who do degrade have no experiences in what it takes to be a pro fighter, yet they want their opinions to be valued even though their based on bias hatred.
I listen to people degrade this kid Rios, I have no idea why! He has limitations for sure compared to top tier guys but he brings a solid effort regardless of the out come. Not everyone is gifted with high eq's in the ring or physical dominance but their also a few who have these high skills who don't give their max efforts, what about some dislike for those performances.
I never had a problem with one fighter...............however the morons who stand against the back walls at boxing shows and yell garbage like "kill the bum" and other ignorant BS!!!
I really miss the end of shows at the Hartford Civic Center and going across to Charles restraunt and meet a few of those "fans" in the alley.
Not so abussive then. fans are fine, fanatics are punks! Ray.Comment

Same reason Michigan fans hate Ohio State and vise versa
Also subconsciousness racism/nationalism
And finally, people tend to hate overrated things... For example, everybody hates Justin Bieber BASICALLY becuz he's rich and famous without really being all that great...Comment

Race plays the biggest part in boxing at least IMO, being in the military it plays a huge roll people use words like "mayweather is gonna kill that due knock him out!!!" they must have never seen him fight. Same for pac and the piony's and Canelo with the Mexican's only the real boxing fans know what's up. I mean someone asked me who Khan was? I ask why? they said "because I hear he might fight mayweather next."Comment

I do "hate" a few fighters.
Adrien Broner.
1. He sucks. He's just not that good and no way he's top 10 P4P. He looked average against PDL and Malignaggi.
2. Because of his love for Floyd and trying to be like Floyd, his name gets thrown around together with Floyd's name as if they are twins. So Broner indirectly gives Floyd a bad name, and if you're Floyd you don't want your name to have more negativity added to it. Broner needs to get knocked out and go away or become a gatekeeper. I also hate that Floyd fans are bunched together with Broner fans.
Manny Pacquiao.
1. His opposition from 2008-2011 ****** excluding 2 fighters. He undeservedly won FOTD. It was between Mayweather and Hopkins. FOTD was a gift for what he did from De La Hoya to Cotto, which isn't fair.
2. His stans.
Gennady Golovkin(Pending)
I am very critical about GGG. But now that he will fight Murray, if he wins, I will praise him for it. I'll be convinced. Murray is the MW Ring champ in my eyes, because in my scorecards he beat Martinez. So GGG will be the king of MW if he beats Murray. In the meantime, his fanbase needs to STFU. They piss me off.

You're not alone. I don't pay attention to 24/7, 2days, 360 or any of the extra ****. I just care about the fights.Originally posted by SosayAm I the only one who doesn't watch promotion leading up to the fight? Nor do I listen to fighters outside of the ring, unless commentating. It seems like you some of you guys are too attached. My favorite sports are Boxing, NBA, NFL, and MMA. Of all the fighters and players I follow. I can't think of one person that I follow outside of the ring, field, court, or cage. It's kinda like when females talk about who's Brad Pitt dating(***** just watch the movie).
