Golovkin hasn't done enough to be in the top ten p4p

His division is one of the weakest in all of the sport

    no lineal titles

only champs defeated defeated Ouma(was very good at one time but was undersized and shopworn) and Geale(wholly average)

His best win is who....Geale....maybe Murray

He aint even in my top 20....anybody can look like a monster, with his talent, in a weak division like that

Look at the welterweight division.....I think 8 of out ten of their top ten guys are former champions and highly skilled

A lot of these lists have held off on Golovkin and Kovalev for while, eventually they just said "fuck it, they're good" and put them in the top 5 or 10. I think I'd put Golovkin 7-10, Kovalev about 5-7 but as I said, I don't have a list.
the really low weight classes are good, exciting and packed with talent

you are missing out....check these guys out when you get the chance

Also their are guys just as skilled as GGG but actually beaten and fight in deep divisions

flyweight is loaded...roman gonzalez, juan Francisco Estrada, Brian Viloria, Giovanni Segura, Amnat Ruenroeng, Zou Shiming, etc.

super flyweight has Carlos Cuadras, Zolani Tete, Nayoya Inoue, and a host of guys from the lower weights who were title holders moving up.

Isn't that the point of a PFP list for many?

6 of the top 10 are champs at middleweight, I don't think that means a great deal. Welter is stronger though, no argument there.

Don't mean to brag but... yeah. 2 years after and I predicted it. For all the haters here, I know this sport, NONE of you do. Golovkin is now the #1 P4P and the face of boxing, he is in control of the sport.

If they showed them more, I'd watch them more.

I've seen Tete, Inoue, Shiming and Gonzalez. Inoue is the most exciting for me but I haven't watched many fights of any of those guys.

middleweight is hot gawbage in comparison to welterweight as far as talent goes. Also these guys actually fight each other

hard to gauge his talent when his division sucks

He looks like he can be great but we'll never know until he faces elite guys....their aren't any in his division.....we'll know how good he is if he ever fights Canelo, FROCH, Groves, Degale, etc....there is no elite top 100 p4p talent in that division

there are so many fighters through out history that looked like ATG until they faced some one just as talented, and im sure you don't think he has faced some one as talented as he is.....is that his fault....yes and no....he can move up or force Cotto to fight him or vacate....Middleweight is arguably the worst division in boxing....John Mugabi, Gerald McClellan, Chris Eubank, Nigel Benn, Iran Barkely, Julian Jackson, Bennie Briscoe, would be icing these guys too that Golovkin is fighting....they are not very good

GGG shouldn't be ranked on anybody with a ounce of common sense P4P top ten....his body of work is garbage

                    1)Floyd Mayweather
2)Andre Ward(he is still the second best fighter overall in the game, yes he has been inactive but his resume surpasses a lot of others and he is still fresh and young, he'll come back strong)
                    3)Wladimir Klitschko
                    4)Roman Gonzalez
                    5) Guillermo Riogondeaux
                    6)Juan Francisco Estrada
                    7)Sergey Kovalev
                    8)Manny Pacquaio
                    9)Canelo Alvarez
                    10)Terrence Crawford

I don't look at all the ko's and the WBA trinket....he didn't beat anyone worth much for the title, never beat a champion for a title, has only faced and defeated 4 top ten contenders in almost 35 fights.....his level of competition for his age, skill set, and hype leaves much to be desired....he could be in Crawford's tenth spot, but Crawford has won titles the WBO titles at 135 and 140, was ring champion at lightweight
Estrada #6?! Before losing to Gonzalez, Estrada fought no one. Afterwards he had a nice win over Viloria and Segura, but Segura was clearly at the end of his career at that point. Everyone else Estrada beat of note was a guy with a pumped up record.

Rigondeaux over Kovalev or Pacquiao or Alvarez? That seems more subjective than anything.

Also it was 6 top 10 contenders (per Ring): Geale, Macklin, Murray, Rubio, Proksa, and Stevens.

                      Really really like GGG,but you need to fight live bodies before p4p ranking.Is anyone ranking Wilder?***55357;***56853;
Cause he has to fight fighters of note before hand.No one's ranking Ax Man either, and I'm good with it!
Step up the level of competition and then let's discuss!
