From what I hear they are offering Cotto a fight against Carlos Molina for the IBF belt for 5 million in New York and on that same night Canelo vs he winner of Trout-Lara in Los Angeles. Their pitch to Cotto is that if they win that would set up an even bigger fight in July vs Canelo and that having both Cotto and Canelo on the same card would bring huge PPV numbers.

Their pitch is a 2 fight deal that would bring over 25 million for him in just 2 fights.

Depending on the split between him and Canelo (because their opponents would take the fight for less than $1-1.5M each), they could sell from 400-700K and sellout their their respective venues; that's without even mentioning Mexican and Puerto Rican TV rights and sponsorships. Of course they can offer Cotto $5M for Molina.

Arum will find it tough to scrounge up even 3 quarters of that to offer Cotto for Martinez and any other fight. Not that that fight wouldn't sell (because it would do good numbers), but Arum's greedy ass wouldn't be able to give up enough of his % to come close to it.
