Cotto wouldn't lose to Molina in New York, are you kidding me? Molina might make him look bad and it might be close but Cotto would not lose in that situation plus he has the boxing skills to win that fight.

Canelo versus those other guys is more questionable but still I don't think he really loses those fights in LA but Lara is the most dangerous puncher of the lot so that could upset the apple cart.

If by chance either loses a close contested fight it can still happen and be a big event.

There is some risk as plans in boxing often go up in smoke but I don't think it is all that risky, especially from Cotto's point of view.

Ortiz vs Molina fell thru so now they're looking for somebody else. Why doesn't GB throw Canelo in there vs Molina and get it over with? I'm sure even a 5 year old can answer this.

Seems clear to me they want someone else to defuse Molina so that Canelo doesn't have to look bad fighting him. They were talking about Ortiz-Molina too. They want Canelo to get that belt but they don't want him to fight Molina to get it. But if someone else challenges, they can lift that belt from Molina and then Canelo can whoop on that guy.

It has nothing to really do with Canelo not being able to beat Molina that is just a terrible fight for him to get back on the horse with.

Canelo is a prized thoroughbred but he just got outclassed by a super horse, you don't put him right back in a tough mud slog against a mudder like Molina.

What is the upside in that fight for Canelo he wins but he probably doesn't look good, so people question him more and more importantly he probably starts to question himself.

Canelo going in against Molina would probably be the worst match-making ever event though he probably wins.

Cotto is a grizzled vet with a solid following so those worries don't really apply to him but from GBP's point of view they would probably hope Molina made Cotto look kind of bad thus possibly softening him a bit that way because Canelo is their prized horse with the future after all.

(sorry for the horse heavy post been watching a lot of the ponies)

Cotto team should just go right towards Canelo vs Cotto fight in March and if Cotto wins. Fight Martinez in June and GBP and TR will have to be fine with that because Cotto a free agent.
