True. As a fan I enjoyed the fight. But seeing this I'm starting to think his corner should have stopped it when he continued to complain about the feeling in his face.

Sometimes you have a power puncher and hold on to hope that he can land that one big shot to swing the fight around. In this case, it was clear that Perez was in control of the fight and Mago's punches weren't affecting him at all.

This is very sad news and I wish Magomed a speedy recovery. Boxing is a very brutal sport where its participants stand the chance of being seriously hurt or killed. This is the reason I rarely criticize a fighter that quits on his stool, the corner throwing in the towel, or a referee or doctor appearing to stop a fight too early.

This is very sad to hear Magomed is a true warrior and I hope he makes a full recovery. Like I said in a other thread he didn't leave that ring a loser, he left the ring with much respect and honor. A trueWarrior

Damn hope he recovers. The man showed ridiculous heart and toughness to make the final bell

It was one of those difficult fights for the ref and mago's corner where there wasn't really a single moment that would make you want to stop the fight but the accumulation of punishment was ridiculous.

This is very sad news, i enjoyed the fight last night, both men showed great toughness but this is a reminder that this sport can be life threatening. I wish him well.

You could tell he knew something was wrong in between rounds
                    Too much heart to quit

                    Prayers with you

I totally blame his team. It is their fault.

Seems like no one cared for Magomed.

This is why Buddy McGirt is a good coach.

He cares about his figthers and dont let them take to much punishment.

Magomed is a true champion. I wish him a speedy recover
