I feel sad for Magomed. I hope he will make a full recovery and be able to resume his career. This may be an inappropriate thing to say, but if Jim Lampley and HBO and half of the keyboard cowards who post on this site had their way, every fight on their network would end with one fighter in a coma. Lampley and Kellerman were practically cumming in their pants watching that fight and that is the type of fight that HBO has been praising and promoting lately. What happened to Magomed is really sad, but what is sadder is that a major network won't showcase a fighter on their network unless they fight like Magomed and Perez did last night.

I thought there was a point where he should have stopped but he showed a lot of heart to carry on, he wasn't about to let his '0' go easily. To those who like to label fighters "quitters", this is what can happen when you continue in a fight you're losing.
          Very true.

Damn... I hope he pulls thru.

How do you guys think Perez feels about this? Well, how does any fighter feel if they put their opponent thru this or even worse?

Praying for Magomed and im glad his father is with him. Magomed had a piece of his skull removed to allow the pressure and swelling to go down, I think it's worse than it sounds and the sad reality is the likely hood of him fighting again is slim to none. Magomed's corner should have saved their fighter, he was asking the questions in b/t rounds that suggested he didn't was to continue but b/c of his heart kept continuing, all for $40,000.

If Kovalev is an example, Perez will continue fighting and succeeding. He needs to realize he's not to blame and that he was only doing his job. It was up to the ref, corner or doctors to stop the fight.

I never want to hear lampley and max giving boxers sermons on trading and not being "boring". They were celebrating this and still whining about Wlad

Its like hbo wants to relive gatti ward every fight for ratings. Imbecile piece of **** keyboard warriors. Cry to that Lampley.

It is a roll of the dice every time fighters get in there. They sign the contracts knowing that this could happen.

There is no shame in stopping a fight. The ref, corner, and doctors are all there to protect the fighters. Part of the game is not being hit, and if a fighter is taking punishment they are not doing their job and should take a loss early.
