GGG stops Martinez. Not hating on Sergio, but that's the natural progression of a fight with these type of fighters.

Sergio's pride will get in the way, and that'll get him hurt.

I have to favor golovkin. martinez been in too many hard fights and he would have to go beyond what he's ever done to beat a monster like GGG and I don't think he has enough to go there. He has hit his ceiling and is on the downside while Golovkin is at his peak.

I see it as a 65-35 fight in favour of Golovkin.

A few are saying that Martinez may duck the fight but has he ever avoided a legitimate threat to his middleweight crown before Golovkin? And we must remember, Golovkin has only been a relevant fighter over the last 12 months, a time frame in which he has only faced Murray, while recovering from injury. I think the next 12 months will give us a better picture of where Martinez is physically.

if his come back is at middleweight and he doesn't do so well, then I'm sure he will move down to 154 and look for a big fight there, unless he gets a Cotto bout straight off the bat, which I highly doubt. And the Alvarez fight is just a pipe dream, noway does his team put him in for a beating against Martinez, unless the team is extremely deluded about their fighter's prospects.

Unless Martinez looks drastically different than he did against Murray, I'm assuming he's too far gone for Golovkin at this point. Even the best Sergio Martinez we've seen at middleweight would have problems with Golovkin, at this point I'm confident GGG wins.

Big fan of GGG and Martinez both.

The only thing that would make GGG work would be speed, and if Sergio can bring it, I'd say potential FOTY in the making.

              50/50 if Sergio 95%+

would love to have seen prime Martinez vs GGG. Fascinating 50/50 fights.

Now? I think GGG lands too many not to hurt SM.

Nothing has changed as far as I am concerned. GGG is still the best middleweight in the world by far and he will beat and probably ko any other middleweight alive. Martinez is no longer a real champion to me because he is not fighting the very best middleweights like Quillin and GGG. Martinez is thrilled to possibly get a chance to fight the much smaller Cotto at 160 even though Cotto has never defeated anyone at 160. If Martinez KOs Cotto like I think he will if that fight happens then his next fight will again not be against GGG. Martinez has no intention of fighting GGG ever. It is up to fight fans who they want to recognize as the real middleweight champion of the world. Some fans may choose Martinez because he is the lineal champ. I thought of him as the real champ for a while but he has not fought the very best for a long time. GGG is my world champion and he will fight any fighter willing to fight him.

I think Martinez would most likely get dropped by GGG, but he'd win most of the rounds, and possibly hurt GGG in the process. Martinez by UD (if he can fully recover.)

GGG would ice him. It would get pretty bad.
