Let's Settle This, Martinez v Golovkin

As the wins against Macklin, Rosado and Stevens have seemingly pushed Golovkin into the middleweight slot and a fight with Martinez is what everyone wants, who do you all think?

A poll will be useful because this is all everyone seems to be talking about.

I honestly don't care for the fight, Martinez is done, his movement against Murray looked amateurish and he couldn't pull the trigger. Martinez likely gets stopped early, his means of defending is mostly through movement and now he can't even do that right.

Martinez didn't look great in his last outing, so i'd go with GGG by decision.

Golovkin. Both get a bit wild at times when trading but Golovkin's superior power and punch placement probably drops Sergio a couple times, and may stop him late.

that 12th round Chavez jnr put Martinez through changed Martinez life forever. Martinez is done, GGG Murders Martinez inside of 7.

Not much to settle. GGG by obliteration.

That's why the Martinez camp will not discuss the fight.

Dibella knows the fight would be a career ender for Sergio.

That said, the SM that fought Pavlik would give tripple G hell.

GGG wants the fight, but I seriously doubt Martinez takes the fight, when he could just fight Canelo, a much easier and bigger fight.

Sure, we all want GGG - Martinez, but I don't see it happening. Martinez is not going to fight some killer like GGG at this stage in his career, unless he has to, and sadly, he doesn't. He has other options, easier options.

I agree but still want the lineal title to change hands before Martinez retires.

Martinez didn't looked either unfit or shot against Murray, so going by that...you'd have to favour GGG, saying that i think Martinez left hand (which IMO GGG is a sucker for, right hand is low all the time) might still be able to win a few rounds.

If it's the version that turned up against Chavez Jr, I'd favour Martinez on points quite comfortably.

Martinez is a terrific fighter, but I believe Golovkin is a bit special.
