Anyway I don't see how any of this is relevant considering this thread is specifically about resumes. You admitted vitali doesn't have a great resume, end of discussion.

P.s vitali is one of my favirote all time fighters, has been since he destroyed hide and it kills me that he was injured and missed his prime years. But his resume is what it is.
Lol, I guess you completely missed the point. Oh well. I tried.

When did Sven ever express any desire to leave Germany? Links please. Kessler was more dangerous than Ottke and Calzaghe faced him. When did Sven Ottke ever face ANYONE other than IBF approved opposition?

I loved the prime p4p Roy but even I feel he had no desire to fight in the UK or overseas at all in his prime . . . and neither did Benard back ten to twelve years ago despite the money and media it would have earned over in Wales.
Utterly misguided response. He wanted nothing, absolutely nothing to do with Roy until he was shot to hell. He was even quoted as saying things like, he knows his limitations and would only go out of country to face Roy for the crown ***els.

Roy was the P4P #1 fighter or near it from 1994-2004. He called the shots at the time, so to even consider him travelling would be like Floyd having gone to Mexico to fight Canelo. It just wasn't happening and guys like Collins, Michealzewski and Calzaghe knew it.

At least Clinton Woods had the balls to come to Roy and take his a55 whippin' like a damn man.

why does everyone have to go to calzaghe's home to fight him? because he's scared of flying? ottke was the #1 guy in the division and unified champ and calzaghe refused to go to germany. he also refused to fight in the states against hopkins and jones when they were p4p #1 and he was a scrub. it would be like saying mayweather ducked senchenko because he didn't go to ukraine.

ottke faced glen johnson who calzaghe ducked over and over so he can't be that bad. he at least has some balls. kessler was also tailor made for calzaghe. concrete feet. standup boxer. glen johnson is a pressure fighter who doesn't mind taking to give. styles!

He flew plenty fine to face Roy in 2008 when Rjjr was a ghostly version of himself. The funny thing is that Joe still got dropped.

Joe Calzaghe... he beat many good fighters like Hopkins (who went on to beat Pavlik, Pascal and Cloud), Bika (current titleholder), Kessler, Eubank, Reid, Woodhall, Mitchell, Lacy (who was the favorite going into the fight), Brewer, etc.

^^ I had the Ring magazine sister publication - "World Championship Boxing" where he expressly pursues the title shot with Roy and it was a public statement. I didn't believe Calzaghe was worth the trouble and neither did Team Roy at the time. Now Roy travels to Russia for paydays and gets punished and embarrassed ~ damn shame he didn't make a media event of fighting in the UK ten years ago and silence Calzaghe as I believe he would have. I cannot hold it against Calzaghe that the top champions of 2000-2003 didn't really want to face him when they were at the peak because I believe he would have accepted any offer they and HBO Boxing would have made.
