To call Golovkin a hype job is just pure BS. Compared to fighters nowadays, he is as legit as they come. He fights way more often than the average boxer in his weight class, he knocks out all his opponents with obvious power and at times has problems getting top ranked opponents to challenge him. He has all the signs of a true champion with serious knock out power. Anyone who doubts Golovkin will hopefully be silenced after he takes care of Stevens.

You are obviously a golovkin groupie to suggest that golovkin has more power than stevens is ridiculous, who has golovkin stretched with one punch with the exception of ishida? but stevens is becoming synonymous for one punch koes, and golovkin has taken most of his opponents out with an accumulation of punches, and many junior MWs have given him hell, ouma and rosado are good examples and were never koed I might add, but were tkoed on cuts or for some other reason. There is nothing exceptional about golovkin he has decent power and appears to be aggressive and determined those are his best attributes, but in terms of displaying exceptional skill, boxing ability and punching power I just don't see it, I am more of a realist and base my feelings on what I am seeing with my own eyes as opposed to all the hype that's being heaped on a fighter. He sounds like the second coming of kelly pavlik and or edison miranda to me they were comparing miranda to hopkins before he got exposed and pavlik to hagler before he was ran into the ground, blasphemous and absurd comparisons I might add, golovkin is simply the second coming of miranda and kelly pavlik, that's about it, I will give him that much, there is nothing spectacular about him and as soon as he faces someone who can fight, has power, a chin and skill, he will be exposed and stopped remember you heard it here first.

Nothing exceptional about GGG? Decent power? You don't see exceptional skill boxing ability and punching power? I'm no GGG groupie but that has to be the most inaccurate post i have ever read on Boxing Scene. Come on now, calling yourself a "realist" serves you no justice in your statement and i would have to question your ability to see clearly if you base your opinions on what you see in GGG's fights. I'm not trying to come off disrespectful but for real WTF are you watching? Women's Tennis??? 14 straight KO's is no hype job. Seriously.

Because you try to sound convincing doesn't make what you say accurate or the truth, like I said I don't see anything special about him he has decent power not one punch ko power, if you see one punch ko power I need to be asking you what you are watching, not the other way around because he is not known for one punch kos he beats his opponent by an accumulation of punches. Simply based on the way you are talking and describing him as a fighter I can tell that you are a boxing novice and are not really knowledgeable about the sport or the really great fighters of the past. Fourteen straight kos against sub par competition does not mean or say much and like I said most of those kos came by an accumulation of punches, he is also average in terms of skill like I said there is nothing exceptional about him and like I said as soon as he fights someone with skill who can punch, take a punch, who fights, comes to win, and has some heart he will be exposed and stopped remember you heard here first.

The pot calling the kettle black. Stevens himself was a hypejob. After underachieving for so many years his hype went away.

I just watched the Rosado Golovkin fight two nights ago. I have to say I don't know what fight some of you watched but I don't believe it was that one. Because the one I watched was the one when GGG knocked the snot out Rosado and Stevens will do no better. But don't get me wrong because I still believe GGG is overrated. But he has plenty of potential he just needs to move up a notch with his opponents. And in my opinion Stevens doesn't make the cut in that department.
