I'm gonna let you in on a not so little secret, so that you won't do the amateur mistake again of bringing up amateur wins.

Andre Berto beat Andre Dirrell in the amateurs, Berto also beat Timothy Bradley twice.

So don't bring up amateur wins again, to prove that a pro fighter is not a hype job, or to prove whatever in the pro ranks. You just do not bring up amateur wins when talking about pros.

I am with u on this mate. I cannot see Gennady taking any risks early on with Curtis due to his vast boxing experience. Curtis has signed the wrong contract. In my opinion, GGG will measure the distance and box for the first couple of rounds and then starts connecting. Although, I would not be surprised if the match ends very early, I believe GGG will stop Curtis in rounds 7/8 at latest. Many boxing fans also forget that Gennady spars with light-heavy weights throughout his career in almost every training camp. Hence I do not see him not being able to take some of Curtis' leather early on.

I cannot wait for this one, it will be a gr8 fight. Cheers mate

HAHA man this guy is hilarious. GGG has not only beaten, but utterly destroyed his opponents. No one has gone the distance with GGG since 2008. Also Stevens is 5'7" lol...but GGG has not faced any true middleweights? Rosado and Macklin are giants compared to this loud mouthed midget. This clown has the same chance every fighter has, a punchers chance. He will probably go out guns blazing with haymakers in the 1st few rounds to try to land something lucky. I just cannot see him winning this fight unless GGG gets caught by something miraculous. This guys is a KO .gif waiting to happen lol. Curtis go ask the last 12 KO victims of his if he is overhyped. Or all the current/past titleholders and elite level fighters he whipped in the amateurs. Abel Sanchez had it right, once Curtis feels that power he will be in survival mode.

He also beat Bute and Dirrell in the amateurs. GGG is 100% the goods

Since Stevens lost to Brinkley he has fought four fighters that have 30 loses between them. So why does anyone take this guy seriously when the fight is such a mismatch? I also remember when not so long ago Bute was getting crucified for fighting the same level of fighter that Stevens happens to be.

All this talk will sell tickets but it won't help Stevens at all. Golovkin is going to get him now.

Btw making false claims like "GGG does everything better" automatically makes you a d*ckrider. Either that or you just dunno ****.

I'll just give you the benefit of the doubt and play it like you dunno better.

owned by you? Definitely not. I enough boxing to know good talent and the dude can fight. False claims no. What are you talking about? I'll just assume you are 12 and let you think you won something. Have fun with that.

Whether they threw in the towel or not is irrelevant trainers stop fights prematurely all the time, the point is he was getting cracked and backed up by a junior MW in Rosado and was clearly being hurt by the shots Rosado was throwing, if Rosado was hurting him and backing him up, and catching him, what is Curtis Stevens going to do when he catches him?

Stevens may not be considered a high quality opponent (though it's hard to judge how his lay-off effected him since he's won every fight since at 160) but he is seen as a big hitter, and has quick hands. He's the first opponent GGGs faced who's perceived to have the potential of KOing him and the fight is decent for this alone.

My feeling is that Curtis is not really gonna get much chance to land anything that big. For all his offense, and the fact that he is willing to get hit to land his own, it seems to me Golovkin is very careful not to leave openings for big shots.

That said, Stevens is not the kind of opponent it would be wise to take lightly, cos on the exchange or counter his left hook is undoubtedly an equaliser.

In terms of hype, well of course GGGs has his fair share of extremely vocal fans, but in spite of the couple of fights which critics tend to pick on (in which he won convincingly anyway), he has just looked so damn good in winning that it's hard not to be impressed and wonder just how good he really is.

He hasn't won impressively in all his fights the ouma and rosado fight being great examples he was pushed, getting hit, and made to look very average, nothing spectacular stands out about him even his power is overrated he does not have one punch ko power he beats most opponents by an accumulation of punches and wears them down and those were junior MWs, for once he is in with a fighter that can take his head off and really test him, if he is in a war or koed by a fighter that many of you claim to be just average, what does that really say about him as a fighter?, if stevens can slip his shots and counter, and take his power when he has to, golovkin will get knocked out, remember you heard it here first.

"Heavy Bag Team- GGG fights Stevens. What do you think of that fight?

Gabriel Rosado- Curtis Stevens is talkin’ a lot, you know, he’s talkin’ real crazy right now. GGG like I said, he is the top guy at 160. I think its gonna be real tough to beat GGG. I don’t see it going past three rounds. And I see GGG winning.

Heavy Bag Team- Yeah I mean its going to be a slugfest, first one to land a big shot.

Gabriel Rosado- Its not going to be a slugfest, I think once he feels GGG’s power. Look I went into the GGG fight with the mentality of a Junior Middleweight, and that’s the mistake I made. When I was fighting at Junior Middleweight I was overpowering them with my size. When I went to fight GGG, I made the mistake of a little man and tried to box too much. GGG’s power is real. I think GGG not only can he punch, not only does he have knockout power, but GGG has a chin. He’s never been down."

What Rosado says doesn't take away from what most boxing fans saw and that is golovkin getting cracked and backed up, because rosado was not able to properly gauge that golovkin was hurt does not mean that golovkin wasn't hurt, he was clearly being hurt and backed up, if he has this one punch ko power that many say why wasn't he able to get rosado and and ouma out of there much sooner? golovkin groupies are delusional and refuse to accept the obvious he was getting hurt by a junior MW how is he going to react when he is hit by a fighter who punches much harder than rosado? that is the question you need to ask yourselves.
