agreed. however long the fight lasts it should be one of the most exciting ring performances of Floyd's entire career and that's due to Khan being widely regarded as one of the most exciting fighters in the sport today.

Tbh its still not as bad as the pac vs margarito bout for the jr mw title when pac nor tony fought any contender to earn the right to fight for the belt. Two wws fighting for a title having never fought at jr mw. Now thats what you call a travesty. Two men jumped over many men that earned the right to go after the title were denied so that pac could earn another title in a class he never fought in.

pac fighting for a title just above his current weight class is passable IMO.. specially is he is recognized as #1 or #2 at his current weight. but you are right about tony, pac should have done it vs a champion.. but hey, we can't complain for the action we get..

Wasn't comparing Khan to anybody. In general that is Floyd's formula for picking a fight and the current version of Khan fits that formula. Relatively easy fight and in which has the potential of bringing in high reward ($$$) considering that Khan does have a fan base that will watch.

Why not support the fight, it's guaranteed to be entertaining. Mayweather deserves a stay-busy opponent after just fighting Canelo so Khan, in his current position, is the ideal choice for that reason too.
