Ward refuses to participate in VADA testing

I'm new here and this is a pretty heavy discussion to get into straight up, but I don't think Ward is juicing. Think is the keyword, what is his reasoning for avoiding VADA testing? Especially against an opponent of the calibre of Rodriguez. This definitely shows that something is up, not necessarily that Ward is juicing but maybe he is unhappy with VADA or just pissed off at HBO or the contract?
However, these are questions that need to be answered.Comment

You will soon leave this place never to return, as the flood of garbage and drivel from people like myself will overwhelm you.Comment

I'm a big Ward fan and I don't like the refusal. I understand he doesn't want it to seem like Rodriguez is calling the shots, he doesn't like that Rodriguez did it at a press conference after negotiations were over in an attempt to shame him in some way, he doesn't like that it was an attempt by Rodriguez to corner him and put his back against the wall, etc. But at the end of the day, it is just drug testing, there is nothing evil or harmful about drug testing.
If Ward feels he can't trust VADA because Rodriguez is working with Conte, then find another testing agency like USADA or ask the CSAC to perform testing during training camp.
I just don't feel that drug testing should cause this much drama. I'm not Ward and I'll never be, but if I was at that press conference and Rodriguez launched into his speech about drug testing, I would have interrupted him half way through, leaned into the mic, and said "Done".
I will be interested in what transpires with Ward and his stance on drug testing for the rest of his career.Comment

These boxers need to start negotiating better testing before the contracts are signed. Not bring it up a month before the fight.I'm new here and this is a pretty heavy discussion to get into straight up, but I don't think Ward is juicing. Ward has no reason to accommodate Edwin whatsoever. If Edwin doesn't like the terms he shouldn't have signed to them in the first placeComment

That's why I believe that any fighter contracted to a TV network should have a central contract with that network. The network should decide the purse, the stipulations and the best opponents. This in place of a much needed governing body would sort out many of the problems.Comment
