I actually believe TV networks and central contracts is very doable, the financial incentives are HUGE, the benefits of cutting out the middle man even bigger.

Oh and I may be in the minority but I like how many weight classes we have, it allows for people of almost any size to take part, unlike boxing's much uglier cousin.

He's not playing games though, Rodriguez is doing the testing. It was offered to Ward free of charge and he turned it down - again. A fighter with integrity would have said no problem, or sought out his own testing. Even if he didn't want to do VADA he could have done USADA or whatever, but yet again he's not taking any and that's the story of this fight now unfortunately.

It's not man, I'm actually a fan of Ward's to a certain degree and that's why I expected more from him. Like Malignaggi he's actually a knowledgable fan of the sport, much more so than the average fighter so he knows how important the drug testing issue is. I could understand him not going down the VADA route, but you would think he would want transparency.

Ward has always been su****ious to me. Conte is a fraud anybody associated with him should automatically be double tested...that man life's work was preparing athletes pass drug test, nothing has changed no matter what he says.

That's find and all, but we should expect more out a guy who says

"I want to take things a step further and implement it, not just talk about it, and be one of the first to actually do it outside of Floyd Mayweather,"

But it's hard to pay that kind of money unless you're making mega-dollars like Floyd and Manny. So I don't know, unless there's some help somewhere, I don't know how fighters are going to foot that bill.

So now he's making big bucks and someone is offering to foot the entire bill.

In fact, Ward deserves more criticism for not bringing it up himself before negotiations than for not accepting after negotiations.

With all the hoopla about peds and testing,, why would ward refuse, even if it wasnt mandatory,, he has to know it looks bad to to refuse testing,,, if he has nothing to hide, why refuse and let the rumors start swirling,,, it makes no sense, unless he is juicing
