Ward refuses to participate in VADA testing

Didn't Rigo and Donaire go thru something like this? In the end both took the tests right? So if Ward doesn't then he needs to be crucified.

What makes Ward look even worse is that he's said multiple times that he "has no problem with testing," and "supports Floyd Mayweather Jr. and wants Olympic Style testing."

it looks like it was brought up after the contracts were signed. at the very least it would be against the advisement of his camp.


there are reasons to refuse drug testing other than being a drug cheat. i'm not saying that i'm convinced that ward is clean, only that refusing a test doesn't mean you're dirty.

When Rodriguez first brought it up Ward said he had no problem. He's talked more than once about how he supports testing. The Abraham fight had problems getting made because of chosen officials and California not supporting WADA or something, which Abraham used for his fights.

I wish Ward would take the test and shut people up. He's my co-favorite fighter and it's really hard to support his reluctance to test.

I want to take things a step further and implement it, not just talk about it, and be one of the first to actually do it outside of Floyd Mayweather.

GBP flat out refused VADA testing for Broner-Malignaggi. Paulie was told it was USADA or the fight was off.

Exactly. That's what really bothers me. At least Pac wasn't running off at the mouth about wanting testing and liking it while he was refusing it.
