Floyd pulled the stunt on calling out Winky Wright and then demanding outrageous sums of money knowing/thinking that Wright would turn it down so that way he can make it seem as though he was willing to fight him. Wright called his bluff and accepted his terms and Floyd ran in the other direction to fight Sharmba Mitchell.

Mosley had just been head butted and his tooth was loose, all he did was ask for one additional month of recovery before fighting Mayweather and they turned him down and then later signed a fight with De La Hoya instead. Mosley never ducked Floyd, he just asked that their fight take place in January instead of November or December.
