None. Nobody ducks defensive, boring boxers. The only reason why they avoid such boxers is they generally don't draw flies. Floyd got his Hoya chance and won a split decision. Hoya fans were disappointed and demanded a rematch which Floyd ducked. They have been following him since to see him lose.Last edited by maguirre; 10-03-2013, 06:52 PM.Comment

Traditionally the guys that are avoided are big knockout punchers that can due serious damage to one's career. That has never been a concern so I don't think Floyd has ever been avoided. There really is no risk when fighting Floyd.
You get your biggest payday and a chance to make history and if you lose you still get that extra exposure and come out pretty much unscathed.Comment

Only after 2007. The reason he didn't get big fights at Top Rank is Arum wanted to protect his more popular fighters like Oscar and Cotto. Floyd was HIGH risk low reward because he was very skilled but Arum didn't think he could ever turn him into a megastar.Traditionally the guys that are avoided are big knockout punchers that can due serious damage to one's career. The normal business plan is to avoid skilled fighters that don't have big fanbases. Big punchers that make big money have people lined up to fight them and earn their payday.Comment
