The only thing that made that fight close was the two points that were deducted. To John's credit he made some of the rounds close, I guess the judges awarded him every swing round. Marquez was the one pressing the fight and John was trying to box and counter, but JMM was doing the better work through out the fight

And he beat Marquez pretty well as he's a very good boxer.

He's fought a few times in Japan and Australia, also 2 fights against Rocky Juarez in Vegas (I think). He was nearly robbed in the first fight and cleared that all up in the second.
He beat Juarez by a mile in both fights in my opinion. He is a skillful quick fisted boxer who is hard to hit clean.

JMM got jobbed and Chris John just hides out at home defending his title against other obscure Asian fighters, that is why you don't know who he is.

I don't think you read or understood what I posted.

I didn't say they wouldn't induct foreign fighters, I said that foreign fighters don't place the same emphasis upon it as US boxers i.e. they're not really all that bothered.

"Hall of Fames" are by in large an American sporting concept, something commentators talk about across all their sports. No one talks about them elsewhere or at least, to nowhere near the same extent.

He also almost got knocked out in the 12th round of both fights. Of course you left that out about the 2 Juarez fights.

One was Scott Mallon of RING and he scored it 116-110 which was about what the judges had it. I think the other was Steve Kim who said he was there on a vacation and saw the fight. He had it about the same score.

I've written about this damn thing at least 3=4 times. it's about time these imbeciles got the message.
MAAAAN you ripped into them Marquez **** suckers who have never seen the fight. I'm with you a 100% and I'm a JMM fan but John has done VERY well in the division.

Sadly it's the usual, uneducated, moronic case of, "he ain't fought in the US, so he must be ****e"

A competive fight and win over Marquez shows what level he's on, and average competion it may be, but you've still gotta be damn good to also not lose in 51 professional fights.

He's underrated imo, and would do well to move up.

He's relatively unknown because he fights mostly in Asia. You know Asia, the new mecca of boxing. Incidentally, I believe that was a legit win against Marquez.
