He doesn't leave his home. He definitely did NOT beat JMM.

He called out JMM after he ko'd pac, but it was just a publicity stunt.

How come I never heard of him until looking up boxrec? Plus the fact that he is near Marciano's record.

Marquez was robbed big time. Here's the fight if you've never seen it.

I remember having it 7-5 John, without scoring the KD. Not sure if Marquez got some points deducted.

Great post man! It's rare to find people who appreciate John on internet forums with so called "fans". I've been watching John fight for years and try and catch his fights whenever I can.

He beat Marquez imo by about 2 or 3 points, it was close but Marquez lost that, he should stop moaning as should his fans. A few years back he also had an absolute war with Enoki, an unbeaten fighter who could hit pretty damn hard. John, instead of wanting to box that night decided to beat the Jap at his own game. Warrior champion.

Sadly he just hasn't had the offers and the money to fight in the US, which has deprived him of mainstream appeal and some of the better names in the division.

You don't see the difference? Chris John is a fraud, and even with the accolades the OP listed, he will never be in the Hall of Fame.

I know all about him. He usually fights in Indonesia were he lives and is very popular there. He is a good fighter but he beat Marquez in his home country of Indonesia in a close fight that most neutral fans thought Marquez deserved to win.

That's untrue. It's just an urban legend perpetuated by low-mentality band-wagon jumpers, which grows the more Marquez complains. According to him he's NEVER been beaten. Those who "think Marquez won" didn't see the fight. It was attended by only 2 Western boxing writers. They both wrote that John won well. and won comfortably.

One was Scott Mallon of RING and he scored it 116-110 which was about what the judges had it. I think the other was Steve Kim who said he was there on a vacation and saw the fight. He had it about the same score.

I've written about this damn thing at least 3=4 times. it's about time these imbeciles got the message.
