Plus he appears to have defended the WBA Super World featherweight title 17 times. He is only 34 years old, and as I said, he beat Marquez back in 2006.

How come I never heard of him until looking up boxrec? Plus the fact that he is near Marciano's record.

A lot of people think Marquez won, I'm not sure if it's a consensus or not. Besides that, John has spent years fighting nobody at home.

He never fights anyone. After destroying Marquez, he beat up on Rocky Juarez a couple of times and disappeared into that hell hole Indonesia.

Because he's the Calzaghe of Indonesia. Maybe in a year or two he'll beat a couple 40+ year olds and become legend status.

That was a fight the could of went either way but regardless Chris is a great fighter but hes kind of getting the Rigo treatment. He is too good with not alot of punching power so its a hard sell in america. he should be promoted like crazy

As mentioned he fought Rocky twice and in Rocky form, he almost ko'd Chris John in the last round. The rematch happened and John used more movement. He doesn't fight out of Indonisia much, but we have some American fighters who have :never: fought outside of the U.S.A
