I think they both have legit wins in the series and Pac did some historically impressive stuff. Duran is rated historically ahead of most of the men who beat him. I think Pac will share the same fate.

In 4 fights with Manny JMM has a draw (aftr 3 1st rd KO's) 2 dispute losses that the majority of boxing media scoring both fights had him winning, and then a KO victory. In each fight Manny was favored to win.

He hasn't won as many titles in as many weight classes as manny. He also didn't have a promoter with the ability to manipulate his stable of fighters to get him those title fights Bob got Manny and he didn't draw as well as manny so he didn't get other fights.

IMO they are on the same level, both 1st ballot HOF'ers. But since Manny was considered p4p#1 at one point and won FOTD and FOTY 3 times, I think you have to say Manny is greater.

I don't think he's underrated anymore. He rates RIGHT THERE with guys like Sanchez, Chavez, and Olivares in the debate for GOAT from Mexico. Knocking out Pacquiao is the best win for a Mexican fighter since Baby Arizmendi beat Hank Armstrong twice.

I think its pretty darn close. This Bradley fight would tip the scale for JMM IMO.

I dont put much into divisional titles because there are too many classes and belts and paper champs to butter up a resume. Names mean a whole lot more that titles

I dont put much stock into the 8 division BS. Carefully selected "titlists". Catchweights left and right. Fighters coming off losses. Dodging blood tests like crazy. I hope that Pac gets seen for what he was -- a sideshow catered to a particular demographic.

The reason I say JMM over Pac is the weight. Pac did good at WW. No one expected JMM to bust a g**** at WW. Especially after the Floyd fight. Then he KO's Manny. At a weight he dont belong at, at an advanced age and slowing down. Thats volumes better than anything Manny has done. BTW the Pac fans say the Barrera win was his best.
