JMM is greater. He beat and KO'd Pacquiao, if you want to go with this logic.

If Floyd gets beat in his next fight, his opponent will be greater.
It's like chess. You beat your opponent ten times, he wins the last game and the last game obliterates all the previous ones.

Since it was probably the least fight of our era's Fab Four in the ring (entertainment wise), it gets relegated MAB went into survival mode early so Pac just said, "ok, let's box." He outboxed him, using his feet and flurries. It was a good win in its own right.
Winning easy > winning hard, like JMM MAB in most opinions.

Here's several posters chiming in, Pac has the better resume but JMM is the better fighter. Look at JMM's top 5 wins, all struggles, vs guys that are not top 10 for Pac (MAB 2 pending). That'd be like Pac making hard work of David Diaz.

This is another ****** thread, if you ask me. It's another polarizing subject that always depends on whether you like or dislike JMM or Pac. What would this TS expect exactly?

of course pac is greater, he has defeated far better guys

just because marquez landed the one perfect shot does not make him better, pac has after all beaten him twice already

its like saying prescott is greater than khan

yeah, I don't think JMM was the better fighter either. They proved about equal in the ring. In their prime, there was little to separate them. Marquez had the most definitive win. It doesn't erase the other fights in the series or the rest of Pac's career. At his best, Pac is one of the best offensive fighters who ever lived with more than enough chops to make his case.

If someone else wants to make a case for JMM, fine with that too. They're both great fighters.

Pacquiao was beating up Marquez like Pac was the cartel and Marquez was some unassuming tourist in Mexico City.

Very similar resumes, but Pacquiaos is better.
