I just want to see great undercards. The more buys the bigger the splits. Business wise it makes sense.

He shouldn't but Mayweather is gonna need him on that undercard to get people even remotely interested in shelling out another $75 if he fights someone like Amir Khan. I have zero interest in watching that.

Canelo should make a case to fight name opponents on Cinco de Mayo and Mexican Independence weekends. He'd likely do as good, if not better numbers than Floyd vs Guerrero.

Canelo vs Victor Ortiz on Cinco de Mayo weekend

Canelo vs Miguel Cotto on Sep 16 weekend

Oscar should give these dates to Alvarez (as the headliner). Give Floyd other dates against non-Mexican fighters and we'll see how "well" he does.

He'll No! He is already a big draw as young as he is and will only get bigger.

Floyd will want him to help his numbers because its already been proven that Floyd doesn't draw without another big name. Why would be help Floyd when he can draw on his own, and not have to put money in Floyd's pocket.

Agreed Cinco de Mayo and Mexican Independance day would be huge for Canelo and hurt Floyd . Mexican fans would not watch Floyd if Canelo was fighting on the same day, and try are a huge part of the draw, especially on those days!

No, that ship has sailed. Canelo can carry his own PPV. The question is how much of a star is he. I think his first PPV has to be Cotto or Martinez or it won't do anywhere near what many people expect. A Canelo/Molina PPV would do around 600K (that's still good).

No one draws without another big name. The only exception would be Tyson.

Remember what a draw Mayweather was pre De La Hoya? Did Canelo get exposed or exposure? Time will tell... but Canelo has his own legs to stand on and he is young....Mexican fight fans are hardly fair weather

Should he headline his own card from now on?

                    Poll above.

                    Discussion below.
I think GBP plan is to try to make him a star in his own right, so he won't be fighting on any more Mayweather PPVs. However, I don't think their plan will work because I don't think Alvarez is as good as most boxing fans think. He will continue to win as long as he fights limited opposition like Molina and Angulo. However, when he steps up the competition, he will be exposed just as popular boxers like Chavez Jr, Ricky Hatton and Acelino Freitas were when they stepped up.

Alvarez will only fight on PPV if he is fighting a big name star who can draw on PPV and there are only two out three in and around his weight division who can do that -- Mayweather, Cotto and Martinez. I think Alvarez would lose to both Cotto and Martinez and would only win a disputed decision against Lara just as he did against Austin Trout.

I am sure there are a lot of people on this board who will claim I am crazy for saying this, but these same people are the ones who thought Matthysse would take Garcia's head off and I was crazy for predicting Garcia would win by decision.
