where are people getting this from
Harry Greb is not the greatest of all time nore has he ever been considered as such........
bert sugar has him at number five I have him at number 7.Comment

I didn't call him the GOAT, but I'd have no argument with somebody who did. I simply said that his resume is probably the GOAT resume, along with Langford's.Comment

there's probably nobody alive who has seen greb fight, other than people who were extremely young when he was fighting.
his fights were filmed on a certain type of film that didn't store well. if there's any footage remaining of greb it's likely that it's completely destroyed.
many of his opponents are well filmed, though. greb's resume is without a doubt one of the best of all time. anybody who argues against that is an idiot.Comment

several historians, with opinions that matter, have called greb the greatest fighter of all time.Comment

dude only had 48 knockouts in over 300 pro fights?? are you kidding me?
first off, most people have never seen him, so how in the hell are we in any position to say he's the goat??
secondly, his ko% was paulie malanaggi like.
third, i know he had over 300 fights, but out of those 300 how many were against hall of fame african american talent?
i read about greb's accomplishments (his vision problems) and i'm not saying he wasn't a legend. but to rank him above guys like mayweather, whitaker and jones seems laughable to me.Comment

and before people start crying about my "african american" comment...kill yourself!
african americans normally have the most dominant champions in boxing. period.
when roy jones fought, he was the best. no question.
before him was whitaker.
before him was leonard.
currently its money may.
i'm not saying whites and latinos don't create great fighters as well. but overall, boxing is always dominated by at least one or two unbeatable black champions.Comment
