It'll be right next door to the KKK meeting. I think they're holding a Calzaghe/Klitshko rally tonite.

tiger flowers and harry greb, weighing in.

flowers is, of course, a hall of famer. both legendary and black. most of his perceived greatness comes from his fights with greb.

you'd know about him if you were't an idiot.
LOL. These kids are something else.

I really do try to stay away from these GOAT arguments because to me it is all nonsense. I know who the best guys are from each era and see no need to rank them any further than that. This era's best is Mayweather, Pacman, JMM, B-Hop, W. Klitschko etc. Last era's best were Roy Jones, James Toney, B-Hop again, Lennox Lewis, Holyfield etc. The era before that, Ray Leonard, Duran, Hearns, Hagler etc. This can go on and on until the start of boxing.
The only people who annoy me are people who say someone like Greb is the GOAT. Yes Greb may have a superb resume in terms of how many HOF fighters he beat but all of the HOF fighter from his era were, in reality, rubbish at boxing.
Seriously go watch the tapes, watch Greb spar, watch some of the guys he beat that are alleged HOF fighters and all of them look like they picked up a pair of gloves for the first time that morning.
The sport is at a much much higher level now and although Greb beat everybody they put in front of him... all those people couldn't box to save their lives if they were matched up against the modern greats.
I have a seriously hard time ranking someone as the GOAT that we all know would get beat from pillar to post and knocked out by any great/good boxer from the modern eras and I have a harder time taking anybody seriously who does rank Greb the GOAT.

            sorry.

Checked boxrec, huh? Face it, you're out of you league. If you're just trying to learn, than ask. If you think you're going to win a debate with NE, just give it up.

Personally I rank Greb number 2 behind Langford. Presumably you have no problem with him though.

i can "read" about greb all day. but i've actually seen floyd, roy, ali, whitaker, foreman, robinson, ike williams, louis, etc...

yea, greb and his 48 kos in 300+ fights is better than those guys.

                roflmao!!

if we had never seen gerry cooney, i'm sure he'd be considered goat by most of you guys as well.
Dude, you were taken to school and back, let it go.

It's a toss up between Tiger Muhammad, Vitali Klitschko and Brian Sutherland

                  I can't decide

i'm pretty sure his world is going to collapse when he finds out that the old, white historians love langford at least as much as they love greb.

that's if he knows lanford was black

                    • To be fair though the bloke has a point with fighters like Greb, I mean there is no footage of him and we can't really gauge how good him and his competition were... I think the last 50 years is a good way of measuring ATG's, as boxing hasn't really progressed much from the 60's, in terms of improved technique.
