    4. Golovkin has a paper title so he offers little in the way of prestige.
    5. Golovkin brings no money to the table.
    6. Golovkin has no real resume so he is not really a legacy fight either.
    7. Golovkin has a contract with HBO and Floyd is a Showtime fighter rite now.

Now, how about u tell me why he should fight him. Give me albeit reason, just one.
Because they think it would equal a certain win. When they say that the only legit guy is someone who comparatively no one else in boxing would ever be expected to fight, you know you're something seriously impressive.

Imagine any other fighter in boxing whose longest title run was at 130 being expected to face GGG as one of the only legit opponents. It's laughable and utterly absurd. Imagine any other fighter from 147 pounds today being slagged off for beating the number 1 guy of their division and the division above, and everyone still saying "no, it's only legit if he moves up to fight GGG at 160".

Would that be said of Bradley? If Bradley beats Marquez, that's going to be a legit win for him. In fact, not just legit but great. Now, imagine people saying "no, no, Bradley needs to fight GGG. Anything else is unfair and a cherry pick". It's pathetically hilarious.

Bradley as a young undefeated fighter, with 30 wins over 8 years and the champion at 140, is considered a legit win/fight for Pac despite Pac making him move up to his weight, yet Canelo as a young undefeated champion with over 40 wins across 8 years and the number 1 fighter at 154, is not a legit win even with Mayweather moving up to fight him at his weight....oh sorry, at 152.

Pac made Bradley move up 7 pounds, while Canelo had to lose 2, which was actually his average weight for his last fights and a weight he had fought at more often than 154.

Imagine if Ward had actually moved up to 175, beat Dawson as he did, and everyone said "nope! Cherry pick! He needs to move up to CW and fight the toughest guy there or it's all bull****". Hold on though, 168 is Wards original weight, Floyds is 130, so Ward would have to fight Haye for it to be similar. That's fair right?

He easily has the best skills we've seen in 30 years so its a tough call to know if he is choosing carefully or just that good.

Personally I'd like to have seen him move up to fight Sergio 1-2 years back to know for sure. Many other ATGs have moved up to seek new challenges and I dont see why Floyd shouldn't. In fact, his fans should want this.
were they seeking challenges or bigger paydays?

I can respect any credit given to a fighter who fought a ton of tough fights. But When has that motivation been challenge? Prior to Tyson v McNeely, you got more money for better fights. Every once and a while there was a gerry cooney who commanded big audiences but wasn't nearly an ATG.

SRL had to fight Hearns to make huge money. Broner or Canelo can fight in cincy or Vegas and sell big versus you or I.

Youve been arguing with too many haters to see things clearly. Boxing isn't just about money no matter how hard you want to make it so.

you didn't respond to the question.

Pro boxing is about money and nothing more. Its a fighter's job, not his hobby. You think anyone calling out floyd is doing so to test their skills against the percieved #1 p4p fighter?

You think floyd fighting Canelo was about the lineal JWW title?

If pro boxing isn't about money, why doesn't every fighter just stay an amatuer? You can still fight the same people.

You are saying its ALL about money which is just ridiculous and nothing but a defense for what you perceive as Floyd bashing. Its transparent and tired.

SRL made 12 million for Duran 2...thats almost 30 million dollars in todays money...but is that what people remember? Your logic would suggest it...but in reality you are wrong. People remember SRL coming back from a loss to beat one of the finest fighters in history.

So we've seen that it can be done. Has Floyd done that? It's not as clear. If his resume was as strong as a SRL, Duran or Hearns, Hopkins you wouldnt need to bring up the money aspect.

Way to not answer the question, I bet Floyd has fought at least 30 ranked opponents, Golovkin has fought 4 guys people consider World Class and 2 of them were career 154 pounders. Why won't Golovkin fight someone better than Ishida?

And to the guy who said Ortiz and Canelo are in their primes no they're not! You don't even reach your physical prime as an athlete at the age of 23/24, more like 27! Don't get me wrong they were dangerous fights for Floyd but not prime opponents, I actually thought the idiot Ortiz was doing well before he got sucker punched... oh well.
That's gotta be up there with the most awesome displays of NSB logic I've ever seen here. That's a keeper. In fact, that's worthy to be logged at TC.

Barrera lost to Jr Jones before Pac because he wasn't in his prime yet.
Duran lost to De Jesus because he wasn't in his prime, then in the rematch De Jesus lost because he wasn't in his prime.
Ray Robinson actually lost to Lamotta because he wasn't in his prime yet either.

But yeah, I totally agree. Welterweight champion, 24 years old, 34 fight, 8 year veteran, definitely not prime. He won't be reaching his prime for another three years yet.

Canelo, 8 year veteran, undefeated 3 year unified champion, over 40 fights, with bums, top contenders, experienced veterans, former champions, faded HOFers, current number 1 champions beaten, but won't be in his prime for at least another 4 years. Then, and only then, a Floyd fight might have been legit.

The fact you're one of those "slow down the fight, with no sound blah blah" kinda guys makes it even worse.
Cotto was actually shot now? Despite being 31 and having just come off a series of title wins in a new division, having avenged his first loss and fighting what is arguably his greatest ever display of boxing and fighting in his career, he was shot? Like Oscar was shot against Pac? Despite everyone saying Cotto looked brilliant, fought incredibly and went 12 hard rounds without slowing, showed great timing, reflexes and speed, he was shot?

                  Wow.

The thing you fail to realize is Floyd already moved up to face new challenges, he started at 130 and has fought at 152 or above 3 times. I'm a Floyd fan but not a crazy but the idea of a guy smaller than Lamont Peterson and Terrence Crawford having to fight Middleweights is pathetic.

It is to those who do it as their job, no matter how much you pretend it isn't. Pac doesn't actually fight for the people mate. He does it because he gets paid millions of dollars. They wouldn't do it for free. They fight for money. They negotiate to get more and get bigger fights to get more money. Pride is part of it, but it always comes back to money.
