I cant really think of anyone who Roy has fought who had faster hands than Richie Woodhall, and Richie's hands certainly were'nt as fast as Joe's. Roy beat Richie in the Olympic semi final and Calzaghe beat Richie in his last fight, when you assess those two fights (for what its worth) Roy's and Joe's speed of hand look about the same against Richie, maybe Joe's abit faster but who knows.

James Toney? He barely slipped off the feed bag long enough to get in the ring. Many fighters have outboxed James Toney. It's not something new, and Roy didn't use his "dazzling" speed in that fight either. Nada with Hopkins also.

The grim reaper was a awesome fighter back then, i was a big Robin Reid fan.

He won the WBC belt in italy against the infamous moaner Vincenzo Nardiello when nobody gave him a chance, beat Henry Wharton when nobody gave him a chance, he had a awesome physique and never tired. Put full efforts into punches, he had alot of admirers and was a very good counter puncher back then. Joe Calzaghe fought him one handed for most of the fight and still beat him. Actually that hand is a big worry for Joe if he hits Lacy hard, his hand may go and he'd be in trouble.

No offense but Toney was hardly in fighting shape and his style was perfect for Roy anyway.
But the way Roy dominated him was impressive as hell and nobody else could of done that because nobody else had Roy's style.

I wouldnt say Roy out boxed Toney, he out foxed him more like. When you out box somebody you trade with them, trade jabs, you dont run away. Sure Roy's style was effective though and thats why he used it.
