Would Roy's fights have been different...

If all of his opponents weren't afraid of his speed? or perhaps ignored the speed due to the fact that Roy has no chin whatsoever? I'd pick a lot of those guys to KO him if they fought rematches today, that's for sure. A fight is COMPLETELY different when you know your opponent has no chin. Notice how TOS and Brewster didn't fear Wlad and both knocked him on his ass? Imagine if McCline knew Wlad had no chin back in 2002. Easy KO victory for Big Time. That's why I could never quit in a fight until I had clocked my opponent with some good shots. If his chin is untested, ****ing rush him and test it even if it means taking his shots in the process! Go wild and make sure you land a meaningful punch on that ****er before you crawl into your shell and hide for 12 rounds. Could payoff in a KO victory.

His fights would of been different if he took on some challenges.

No offense, but you did say you never boxed before right? With Roy's superior hand and foot speed those guys never got close. Imagine for every time you try throwing a punch getting clocked 5-6 times in return. And let's be honest, Antonio Tarver was not the first person to ever hit Roy Jones. Ruiz caught him in the 1st and Roy's legs gave out, but he bounced right back and continued on what he was doing.

Diego. No offense but... ARE YOU SERIOUS? "If they weren't afraid of his speed?" THAT is what you think was the difference in his fights? Have you ever actually really WATCHED him fight? If you ever fought before you would know, man.. come on- his speed? Roy Jones countered with precision and POWER.... a lot of guys went the distance with him, too, but not because he couldn't stop them.... but because he rendered them HELPLESS with lightning bolts that he threw back at them when they tried to get to him... a lot of good fighters just found it too hard to get by the return fire, period Saying they were afraid of his speed is like saying pitchers were afraid of Reggie Jackson because he had such a fast bat. MAN... They didn't care that he swung quickly as much as they cared about what happened to the ball when he made contact with it. When a guy is as fast as RJ do you think people say "Oh well,he's fast, let me stop trying?" Do you really think that? Man, they WANT to hit him just like Gatti wanted to do when he fought Floyd..... get in the ring sometime with a real fast guy and try to hit him as he is hitting you back. It might be a little different than you think.

******ed, and not worth a response.

You should ask yourself how much of what you post here isn't motivated by hate and dislike.

              Almost nothing.
