No doubt, and you make a great point about the low blows. Garcia, by my count, threw 4 of them. Usually, 1 low blow and you are deducted points for the next 1-2. Anything after that is a DQ.

Case in point, I believe Andrew Golata was DQ both times for committing 4 fouls. It might have even been less.

And, let's face it, these weren't belt line punches. These sailed all the way down to the cup.

I'm practically convinced they were intentional. There was one where Garcia's head was pulled down and he nailed Matthysse right on the gonads. Danny had an excuse for that one. But he delivered so many punches right on the stones that I can't see how they were unintentional. Weeks took so long to do something about the fouls that I was actually surprised when he finally deducted a point.

Why are people giving Garcia a 10-8 for round 11? Should be 10-9. That was a pretty dominant Matthysse round besides the dubious KD.

As far as I'm aware, if a fighter scores a knockdown the automatically win the Round and the other fighter is deducted a point.

I.e a 10-8 Round.

That's a judgement call. I definitely see your point, and I considered giving that a 10-9, but I thought Lucas fell just short of that kind of dominance. I've seen some truly dominant rounds where a fighter beat his opponent from pillar to post but didn't score a knockdown. That kind of thing has to be very clear, in my opinion.

That doesn't mean those weren't intentional as well. lol

In a court of law, I wouldn't convict Danny of intentionally punching Lucas in the nuts; but so many, right on target, like a heat-seeking missile, is very su****ious. Mind you, I consider everything in a fight fair game. It's up to the ref to enforce the rules and the opponent to give it right back if the official is negligent in his duties. If I were Lucas, I would've smashed Garcia in the sack the first chance I got.

I doubt those low blows were intentional and Matthysse pulled his head down more than once. That's part of these why it kept happening.

If you thought Matthysse was that dominant in the eleventh, you had to score it 10-9 Garcia, since Danny scored a knockdown.

That's usually the case, but not always. Al Bernstein even made a remark about it during the fight.
