Post Your Round-By-Round Scorecard for Lucas-Danny

I've noticed in the "What was your score after 6 rounds of Danny-Lucas" that a lot of people had Lucas winning 4-2, or even 5-1 at that point. That means they must have Danny winning the second half of the fight extremely clearly for him to have won the fight (which nearly everyone thinks he did).

I'm curious to see the full scorecards because this is one of those odd fights that everyone has Garcia winning (some clearly, some dominating) and yet the cards apart to be quite close.

Looking back at my Boxing Scorecard App, I had it 113-113. However, I think as a whole, Danny fought the better fight so deserved to win. As a qualifier, I would also say that I haven't re-seen/re-scored the fight, and I'm a much bigger Matthyse fan, so it's possibly my bias gave him a couple of the rounds.

    My RBR Scorecard:

    1: 10-9 Lucas
    2: 10-9 Lucas
    3: 10-9 Danny
    4: 10-9 Danny
    5: 10-9 Lucas
    6: 10-9 Lucas
    7: 10-9 Danny
    8: 10-9 Danny
    9: 10-9 Danny
    10: 10-9 Lucas
    11: 10-8 Danny
    12: 10-8 Lucas

    Final Score:- 113-113

Only way you can have it a tie is if you gave Lucas a 10-8 round in round 12 for the point deduction...otherwise, Danny should be ahead by a point according to your scorecard...

I had Danny winning by a few points myself.

My bad, I did have it 10-8 for Lucas the last round. Thanks for pointing it out.

            This^^

I thought it was a pretty easy fight to score.

I think you could argue 12 for Matthysse though.

It would seem that way, but that's not the way boxing matches are scored. That's why so many people scream bloody murder when they perceive that a fighter "deserved to win." It's in the nature of the scoring.

This was a very close fight. The Showtime commentators had it all wrong. I'm convinced that even competent scorers cannot reliably judge a fight if they're engaged in running commentary. Teddy Atlas mucks it up all the time.

I know, that is why I am asking for scorecards because all this talk of Garcia winning clearly/dominantly doesn't tally with what I saw. I have long suspected people don't score or properly keep track of the cards but go by whom they perceive to have been the dominant fighter/ring general.

The reason I am saying that Danny deserved to win is because my scorecard had it a draw but I do feel if anyone should have won, it was Danny - and that I possibly may have been biased at some point as I absolutely wanted Lucas to win.

BTW, I totally agree with how Showtime called the fight. I didn't want to say it before because it sounds like I'm a bitter fan (I'm not, I just want to discuss this fight properly now that the troll-fests are ceasing) but SHO's coverage was extremely biased. Danny was getting extra kudos for doing better than people expected, as opposed to the work in the round compared to Lucas.
