I'm not just talking or rambling to get my name in the press. I mentioned it [this past weekend] because it was mentioned to me.
Who is the ****** journalist who brought that up? What was going on through that person's head to even think about that matchup? I'm serious, I wanna know who asked that question. Must have been an ignorant/fake ass journalist like Elie Seckbach or those boxingvoice dudes.

Sergio Martinez in 2014 would be easy work for Floyd IMO. If Floyd, and boxing fans want him to get challenged, you've gotta be insane to think Golovkin isn't his toughest potential challenger if he's looking for anyone north of 154. Like I said, at the least Golovkin is still a champion.

The right thing would be to have Martinez fight Golovkin for MW supremacy which is what all fans want, and the winner fight Floyd. But obviously, that's a total longshot..
I'm not ready to write off Sergio just yet. He could be done, but most--actually all--people don't know this at all for sure.

GGG is unfortunately too unknown for Floyd to ever fight him so. like I said, it will take some time but he will have his time.

LOL , is it getting to be that desperate ? LOL

I suggest two fights depending on if these two win their up coming fights:

JR should fight GGG next and if he beats him

          then

Fight Pac in the fall of 14

Just because you are ******ed power lover infatuated with Manny and yearning for GGG doesn't mean the rest of us have lost our collective minds.

Sergio is better MW right now. Tim and JMM are the better WW right now. I would like to see floyd fight the lineal MW champ-the best MW in the world or the winner of the fight involving the 2nd and 3rd best ww's. (this way those who don't recognize a lineal WW champ can recognize the winner as such).

I know you see ggg's power and amatuer background and assume this means he is legit.
That said, I would hope posters like you learned a valuable lesson after saturday. I know GGG is HBO's new hot guy because of his string of KO's. They are very impressive. But be careful annointing him the best MW before he beats the best. Sergio may humble GGG the same way Danny humbled Matts.
Sergio is indeed the lineal champ. There is no dis*****g that. I do not believe Sergio Martinez in 2014 could beat Golovkin. Did you see his last fight? I don't care what the circumstances were and what injuries he had/came off of, he looked absolutely terrible against Murray and any unbiased- non Sergio nut hugger (im a Sergio fan) would tell you Murray got robbed big time. He's not getting younger and his injuries could only get worse. Golovkin would cut the ring off unlike anything Sergio has seen in his last 5 fights and absolutely KO Martinez, IMO. Keep in mind Sergio has been dropped by Martin Murray and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr in his past two fight, two guys who don't have nearly the same amount of power as Golovkin. Nor are either of them as good boxers, IMO. Golovkin would stalk Sergio from the opening bell and all of his punches will be thrown with a purpose, unlike JCC Jr and Murray.

I agree a lot of fans probably got humbled after Lucas-Garcia...... but i WAS NOT one of Lucas Bandwagoners. He got sooooooooo much hype, and he still gave Garcia a good fight- but I thought it was a 50/50 fight. ( i wanted Danny to lose cause of his dad tho) Personally I thought he was a bit overrated in comparison to the hype he received on here. I do not rate Lucas Mattyhsse not nearly as highly as I do Golovkin. Matthysse may have gotten jobbed against Judah and Alexander, but those fights showed that He is not as invincible as some fans made him out to be. I really didn't understand all of the hype. Meanwhile, Golovkin through 400 some amateur/pro fights has never been hurt or down. There was somewhat of a blueprint to beat Lucas. No one has found that out against Golovkin yet. And I will say this, I might get burned for this....... but I think most of Matthysee hype came from fans who despised Danny/his father and they just wanted him to lose. I may be wrong, but like I said, I do not/didn't rate Lucas nearly as high as I do Golovkin.

Sergio could very well have beaten Golovkin 5 years ago. But past accomplishments mean nothing, what matters is what's happening at the moment and I just think Martinez is not the same fighter he was. His athletic ability looks to be gone, and if thinks he's going to walk around Golovkin with his hands down in 2014 at the age of 38, he's in big trouble. IMO.

I agree just because HBO is showcasing GGG means he isn't superior (in vice versa) But I don't need HBO to tell me I think Golovkin would beat Quillin. I'm not going to break down that fantasy matchup right now, wrong thread but keep in mind Quillin HAD a chance to fight Golovkin BEFORE he signed with GoldenBoy/Showtime and he didn't. I also agree neither man has a resume yet, BUT I will say Matthew Macklin is the single best opponent either of them has faced. Not sure that's very disputable, although I would like to see someone make a case for anyone Quillin has fought being on the same level as Macklin.

Until sergio loses he is the best MW in the world. You can argue he got a gift last fight but that dosn't make GGG better. I can respect what you think GGG may do but hat isn't enough. The fact remains there is a fighter at 160 better than GGG.
