Sugar Ray Leonard wasn't an inside fighter but he had to try to get inside on Hearns and risk POSSIBLY getting murdered on the way in because he was DEFINITELY going to get murdered on the outside. The gamble worked.

He may not have been an inside fighter per se, but he had some serious inside game and was greatly underrated in that sense. I agree though. Unless he took that risk. He would not have won.

That's why Canelo will never be great and Leonard is. You need more than one gear and way. Leonard could box and brawl, jab and punch, Duran could brawl and box, counter and slip, Hearns could bomb you out, jab you to death or out brawl you in a war....Canelo seems to have one gear and if that gear isn't working, nothing at all to back off to.

Jesus Chavez to this day is the only fighter IMO who truly tested Floyd. It wasn't Castillo, it wasn't Dlh. It was Chavez.

I say Canelo ain't $h1t because he has done nothing to prove other wise, his fight against Fraud has nothing to do with it, we all knew what was going to happen, he is been protected and that will not get you ready for the top and elite of your division

Well, he is only 23 mate. Give it until at least 30 before slagging the guy off as having done nothing. Canelo still has many, many years to prove himself and show whether this was a good win for Floyd, which clearly it already is, or a great win showing what a brilliant fighter Floyd still is, and always has been.

Most fighters that 'ain't ****' haven't become the consensus number 1 unified champion of their division, beaten undefeated champions, faded HOFers and top rated contenders/champions like Austin Trout, Miguel Vasquez, Shane Mosley, Kermit Cintron, Josesito Lopez, Baldy, and fought Floyd Mayweather, among many others and done all that by only 23. Lets wait and see before writing him off completely. He's clearly skilled and a top fighter. How good, only time will tell.

I think Mayweather never fought Pacquio or Margarito because he knows that he will not be able to break them down mentally, they will never stop coming unless you ko them and that will turn into a real fight something Mayweather don't wannna be part of

Canelo had to be some wht nervous and he ended up fighting Floyd's fight but wtf he's 23 Mayweather was fkn scared though, he didn't try to go for the KO. Boring fight

He doesnt need to mentally break them down. Just frustrate and outbox them. Margarito would never have troubled Floyd at all. Not for a round. Way too slow. You saw easily Pacs speed dealt with him, now just add in that Margarito wouldn't have hit Floyd once cleanly and wouldn't have been able to catch him full stop. Boring, easy, clear domination. I've never understood why this fight got so much attention other than Arums media articles that everyone actually took as gospel.

Pac is a different beast. He has the speed and combination punching to trouble Floyd that Margarito never had. However, Pac is also easily frustrated and frustration leads to mistakes. I've seen many fights that Pac has become incredibly frustrated in and starts losing his ****. Marquez III, and Sanchez are two prime examples where he got way off his game plan and got so frustrated that he did mentally collapse a bit. He'd always keep trying and keep coming, but it would ten fold against Mayweather because he'd be getting hit cleanly, but not able to score back like usual.

Canelo proved how calm and level headed he is, but he also proved how dumb and stubborn he is.

He basically gave a David Haye performance against Klit.

But Canelo thinking he could box with Mayweather? So effing dumb, I'll bet Floyd was thrilled.

He's been tested plenty in reality. He's just always passed those tests well. I think the Castillo fight was his toughest in that he couldn't solve and adjust to castillos wait and counter style of aggression (Duranesque) in the first fight, but the Chavez, Augustus, Corley fight for about 6 rounds, bouts were also tough for him as they were able to hit him cleanly and often and kept coming with good shots.

I guess, if you think about it, they were more like the normal fights most people are in that we're used to seeing.

Most of you think Jr is the Greatest boxer of all times BAH !!

I have seen many that was much better than he and put on a fight not a hit and run act.

In the beginning I didn't get on board with him because I thought he was too slow, but then had some hope due to his attitude.

Jr is so much faster and quicker than he was in the Cotto fight and I thought Canelo was going to press , get in a **** away, shut down Jr's exits but the back door was always open for JR

For the first 4 rounds I reviewed the fight in slo mo. IT will amaze you what you see !!!!!!! Then after each round I listened to the commentators to see if they were biased. They did ok, but then started leaning towards JR when he wasn't doing that much.

Kermit the frog FARHEAD said he gave JR 5 out of six rounds and KNEW the S### was starting up to favor JR. Thats when I stopped right there !
