Garcia vs Matthysse Rematch?

There are so many new Garcia fans I don't remember posting before the fight? I swear I don't... I remember Ducketts, Grustler, a few other Trolls... Turkas was a legit, a guy... KeepitObjective was claiming 50/50 but was obviously rooting for Garcia

Hugely disappointed with Mathysse but I'm impressed with Garcia. I can remember watching Garcia for the first time against Holt. I didn't know this guy was going to be top boxer!

Do you think there should be a rematch? I think it might be different if Matthysee eyes didn't swelled.

I was going to agree on the rematch until you said about the swollen eye because his eye didn't swell from some kind of freak allergic reaction Danny's fist did that. So if this is your case for a rematch get ready for the same outcome.

Im not sure what fight you were watching, but the fight was very competitive. There were 2 rounds after Mattysses eye swelled up that Garcia was unloading the left pretty effectively, but after that Things evened back out again as he startted tagging Danny.

All these cats saying Lucas performance doesn't necessitate a rematch, or Danny schooled him, started watching the fight in the 7th round. Lucas was ducking that hook beautifully in the first half. And he caught Garcia often. Danny has a chin though. He took those shots well, even when he was hurt.

But yea, to hear these guys tell it, Lucas missed every shot he threw and Garcia had a 100% connect rate. The surprise of Danny actually making it 12 is like schrooms to them. Has them delusional and seeing things that aren't there.

I think Matthysse's efforts have been enough. He was robbed twice and just lost to Garcia a very close fight. He shouldn't accept to climb the Everest again. He shouldn't risk his health for one or two more purses. If there is not a rematch nor some fair fights at 140, I would advise him not to fight again.

question for danny stans. now we all know you don't think your guy can lose, which is fair seeing as he is undefeated. but let's say Lucas somehow manages to win, what do you do? do you admit you were wrong about the guy, or do make excuses ?

i don't like the idea of back to back to back type trilogies.

i think those kind of match ups ruin fighters from going on and being their best against other fighters. i want to see how things look at 147 this around this time next year. while i thought danny won, matthysse was obviously competitive and had he been the champion, it would have been an obvious next step.

they should let it simmer again though. i think danny's going to be here for a while and i expect lucas to be really good for some time as well.
