    Garcia vs Matthysse Rematch?

    Hugely disappointed with Mathysse but I'm impressed with Garcia. I can remember watching Garcia for the first time against Holt. I didn't know this guy was going to be top boxer!

    Do you think there should be a rematch? I think it might be different if Matthysee eyes didn't swelled.

      Would love to see a rematch, I feel the eye swelling played a major part but it came from a punch so I take nothing away from Garcia there.

      Would love a rematch and this time with a referee who isn't going to allow over 100 clinches & near 30 lowblows. I didn't think that was a knockdown either.

      Take nothing away from Danny he got the job done and showed a lot he hasn't before. He looked world class for once.

          Damn, their first fight just happened lol. I'll be surprised if a rematch ever materializes tbh. Garcia's next fight will probably be against Mayweather, and Matts will probably take a little break til another opportunity presents itself. If Matts can make some noise at WW and knock off Thurman and Broner, then maybe.

                  Sure it had the elements required. The first fight got a massive showcase. I'm pretty much expecting this though I question whether Team Garcia will be interested/willing.

                          Don't think there "should" be a rematch, but there definitely could down the line. MAtthysse needs to go and prove himself against the likes of Khan, Alvarado etc.

                          Because imo, Danny beat him quite handily.

                              Losing decisively doesn't entitle you to an immediate rematch, I'm afraid. Matthysse tried his best, worked hard, but he just wasn't good enough. He needs to re-establish himself as the top contender before a rematch is warranted.
