Not only does GGG have more length, but he has better intelligent pressure, and let's not even get into his power punching. The guy isn't whiffing punches either. He places shots very well, and is always in position to land meaningful and effective shots.

This is a different beast than anything Floyd's ever faced.
And Floyd is vastly different than anyone GGG has even dreamed about fighting, but for the sake of argument Floyd has seen guys closer to Golovkin than Golovkin has seen close to Floyd.

Against the Macklins yeah sure , against Floyd and at the same size , he would get schooled , Im amazed at the beating of 3rd tier fighters all of a sudden he can beat the very best the same way , the MW division is weak at the moment if he were to go up to 168 Ward beats him , Andre is perfect style to beat him and so is a Floyd if they weighed the same both being WWs , and for a MW to go to 168 compares to the jump Floyd is making .

Yeah, but Hatton wasn't effective after that. Castillo isn't athletic nor have the type of velocity and power to his punches to beat a guy like Floyd.

Also, Floyd's not the most mobile fighter at 147 either.

You have 3 guys that can cut the ring off. One of them has the power of a MW/SMW, has range, times his shots very well, and places his shots very well, with great velocity, which one do you think would be a worse match up for Floyd?

OK, I can agree with this. Obviously you know my stance, so let's just agree to disagree.

He may not have been what we call elite, but Macklin was world class in my book. He basically won a world title from Sturm and came very close to beating Martinez.

U are going off on a tangent. The point is both hatton and Castillo were excellent at cutting off the ring. The both did it in different ways but they were both great at it. Golovkin is as well don't get me wrong. But those two proved it against a much higher level of opposition.

Cutting off the ring is not a fucking attribute it is a tactic, and if you can't understand the difference the point in talking about an outcome is less than worthless.

You cut off the ring to be in position, which is a part of ring generalship which is the attribute or skill not the tactic to be in position.

Macklin is alright but nothing when it comes to this conversation.

Macklin is barely world class. He's golovkins best win sure. But that's nothing to write home about or hang your hat on in this discussion. Its not even the bare minimum. Honestly this discussion is way beyond premature because golovkin has not lived up to the hype. Not by a long shot. He has more than enough to prove.

They did, and I can't say anything about that. Let's just wait and see how GGG looks in the future. I guarantee you he'll be in the P4P rankings soon enough. If he can even get a fight. The guys more avoided than an annoying fat girl.

                      Let's just agree to disagree.
