If they were the exact same size, it would be a close fight.

That said, I can't pick a winner because neither fighter has been beaten before. If I was absolutely forced to pick, it would have to be Floyd by decision, since he's proven more in his career at this stage.

With the same power, chin and ability to cut off the ring? absolutely.

It's not size with Golovkin, it's power and skill.

Golovkin would do a damn good job at it that's for sure. His ability to cut off the ring is second to none, he will also be able to block Floyd from moving to his left or right simply by sticking his arm out, that will force Floyd to have to get under shots mostly. Also, unlike everyone who tries to take Mayweather out by loading up, Golovkin will look to simply touch Mayweather, jus' touch him.

Golovkin isn't an inside fighter, so it would make no difference.

I think Mayweather would frustrate the shit out of him, Golovkin is alright as a boxer but he is not better than Mayweather in any area technically and when a boxer type faces a better boxer things usually go poorly for the worse boxer if they have more power or not doesn't matter because they will almost never be able to apply it

GGG does some things technically better than Mayweather, don't talk trash.

Golovkins balance is the same if not better than Mayweather. He cuts off the ring 1000% better than Mayweather, his hook technique and rotation of the wrist is something Mayweather doesn't have, I mean heck, some of the shots Mayweather landed on Guerrero were great but so bad for his hand in terms of health and technique.

Timing beats speed btw, and Golovkin has excellent timing and ring IQ.

But this isn't a boxer vs boxer per say. It would be more like a boxer vs a ambush fighter. Not the same thing as Floyd vs. Judah, or something along those lines.

GGG covers so much distance in so few strides it would be Hell for Floyd.
