If GGG was a natural 147, could he beat floyd?

So what is Glovkin's age, like 30-31? Since we like to play the fantasyland game, I say a natural 147 Glovkin at the age he's at now get destroyed by a 30-31 year old WW Mayweather. As a matter of fact, he gets KO'd like Hatton was in 07.
Does that answer your question.Comment

No, I just directly disputed what you said which was a response to what I had said before.
The fact is that you are making speculations based on your opinion.
Floyd and tripple G are both undefeated, had extensive amatuer careers and both won medals in the olympics. Just because Golovkin has not faced a fighter like Floyd, doesn't automatically mean he would lose to him.
Do you understand what people are trying to tell you on here now?Comment

I agree with the fact that he has more to prove, but much like Floyd at 130, he's also a beast at his weight. If they were the same weight, who knows how a fight would go. Not you nor I.Macklin is barely world class. He's golovkins best win sure. But that's nothing to write home about or hang your hat on in this discussion. Its not even the bare minimum. Honestly this discussion is way beyond premature because golovkin has not lived up to the hype. Not by a long shot. He has more than enough to prove.
Every fighter is beatable no matter what. Remember that.Comment

I understand perfectly clear that people are over rating Golovkin vastly based on next to nothing and no understanding of what certain boxing terms mean. No, I just directly disputed what you said which was a response to what I had said before.

Macklin is nothing really decent at best. You didn't dispute anything because Macklin doesn't compare to Floyd in any fashion, I could bring up 10 guys that Floyd has fought that are closer to Golovkin than anything Golovkin has fought that compares to Floyd but that is a pointless endeavor because they are not exact replicas.
That doesn't automatically means he would lose the fact that he is a lesser boxer points to that which is where I started at. Golovkin just isn't good enough, I know where my money would be fight night. Also this is an opinion based question because it is fantasy, what you think would happen if you can't understand an educated opinion on the matter that is on you but feel however you like.Last edited by The Gambler1981; 09-10-2013, 04:05 PM.Comment

How is he a lesser boxer? That has not exactly been proven, now has it?I understand perfectly clear that people are over rating Golovkin vastly based on next to nothing and no understanding of what certain boxing terms mean.

Even with said, wasn't Castillo a way lesser boxer than Floyd and he managed to beat Floyd in a lot of experts opinions.
You have fought and lost an unwinnable battle here as it was based all on opinion anyways. You put up a good fight, but you are not fighting for the purpose on this one. You are strictly taking up for Floyd as a fan.
Kuddos for being a fan, but that has closed off your judgement.Comment

if both the same size, floyd wins,,,,,
floyd has too much skills, and tools at his disposal to lose to a guy like GGG
Everybody talks about the way GGG cuts off the ring, but name the great mover he has ever cornered and beaten up,,,
cutting off the ring vs ouma, proska, rosado, macklin is not exactly the same thing as cutting it off vs a floyd or hopkins,,,,,
Floyd all day in this one,,, GGG would have his moments, but if he is the same size as floyd, floyd's punches would be very effective like they were vs guys his size like hatton corrales, gatti etc.
I think floyd moves and pot shots GGG and breaks him down after 8 rounds and wins a decision...
Does anyone know how good ggg's chin is or how good his stamina is.... can you please tell me the fights where this was tested against..
dont get me wrong,, i really like ggg, he is my favorite fighter right now,, but to think a guy like him who is still relatively untested at the highest level would beat floyd is kinda crazy to me... I have seen floyd at the highest level for many years, cant say the same about ggg....
I just dont see floyd ever losing to a guy his size,,,,,
We could see a fight similar to this in the future with a possible floyd-lucas fightComment

I have watched both of them fight and Golovkin is clearly the lesser boxer, that doesn't mean he doesn't have positive but when he comes to boxing he has nothing to teach Floyd. JLC in total is a lesser boxer than Floyd but he was also a superior inside fighter, Floyd was also young and ****** at that point but still managed to fight his way out of that trap, and he fought real hard in the end. So I have seen what happens when thing go a bit sideways for Floyd, what happens to Golovkin when Floyd takes stuff away which is Floyd's forte. How is he a lesser boxer? That has not exactly been proven, now has it?

If you can't tell who is a better boxer by watching the two, how is that my problem it is pretty clear to someone who really watches close.
What kind of babbling bullshit are you talking about, I am a fan of Floyd that is no secret but why not give that message to the Golovkin fans vastly over rating him also.Comment

When did I say otherwise? I don't see what that has to do with my point. Floyd was a beast at130 and fFloyd is still the best fighter in the world today 4, weight classes later and he's proven it. Golovkin not so much. My point is let's wait until he does before placing him on even terms with a legit great fighter.Comment

The real question is why are guys calling for a fantasy fight when a REAL fight is waiting for him at 168 RIGHT NOW IN REALITY
cause you guys know he isnt ready for Ward.
He hasnt fought ANY WORLD CLASS competition. Thats not hating its just facts. If you guys thought anyone at floyds weight could beat him you wouldnt be asking him to fight middleweights.Comment
