I voted Mayweather. I don't like Cotto or Mayweather but I believe Mayweather is a much better fighter than Cotto and they are not in the same class. Mayweather is years older than Cotto and I thought he beat Cotto easily just like the official scorecards said he did. I think you found a few press scorecards that had the fight close and posted them. The majority of the press had it a one sided win for Mayweather and I agree. I think Mayweather beats Cotto easily in any year at any weight.

Sadly, I think Cotto's prime began AFTER the scores were announced for the Shane Mosley fight due to the mental boost that win gave him. He was no longer having to struggle as much to make weight, his punches still had a very damaging effect on opponents, his timing was on point, his defense was sound and now he knew he could handle anybody put in front of him.

          Margarito ended that.
A loss was the corridor to his prime?

Close fight. At 140, I think Floyd stops Cotto late. At 147, that's a toss up for me. Could go either way.

Floyd was made to work almost every round but it wasn't close on the scorecards. I gave Cotto 3 rounds. In their respective primes Mayweather wins at 140 and 147.

You got to be really ******ed to think Cotto would win more than 3 rounds.

Floyd even easier. Those scores you found are the very closest ones though. Majority only gave Cotto about 3 rounds max.

Anyway, despite the revisionist history, Cotto fought harder and better that night against the best opponent he ever fought than at any other point, or fight, in his career arguably.
