Based on what Sulumain said before the fight was signe, Alvarez should have been stripped of the WBC title because he refused to give up one of his two belts voluntarily (WBC and WBA regular title) as required. So the WBC title shouldn't even be on the line. However, when Sulumain saw that Alvarez had signed to fight Mayweather, he developed $ signs where his pupils should have been.
