This Guys Career Gets Ressurrected If He Catches Up Maidana's Camp & They KO Vasquez

This kid all kinds of potential, and something went south in his training, and looked horrible against Vasquez. He needs to link up with Maidana's camp in SoCal, get a rematch with Vasquez, and knock him out, or his career at 25 is done. I would not mess around and sort out some no-name camp support.

Not too long ago, board members here were swinging from his nuts.

He showed absolutely nothing in the Vasquez fight. Aside from the pointless showboating and useless attempts at taunting El Titere, he embarrassed himself. Best of luck to him, hope he can improve and come back to become a factor in the sport. Sad to see such young fighters being thrown to the abyss of "failed prospects".

He seems fairly featherfisted considering his style.

I remember reading Top Rank hyping Gesta as the next Pacquiao and all the high expectations appeared to end when Mercito faced Vasquez. Viloria, Donaire, same Manny, and Gesta were supposed to be among the top but in reality all of them were much less than great. I'm not saying that their careers are done but only that they were pretty much overrated.

The HBO commentary for the Vasquez fight was classic.

That itself made the fight watchable.

Gesta had the tools to beat Vazquez but he has no fkin clue how to cut the ring off. And he's always too self conscious about looking at himself on the screen and ****.

I don't think they were hyping him up to be the next pacquiao...I do however remember jmm wanting to fight him as a tune up for his fight with pac

anybody with half his sight could see gesta had no real potential, he's a predictable fighter who has basically been able to avoid top 20 opposition like his manager said...vasquez boxed like he knew it too
