I agree. Mayweather shuts his opponents down, but that is IF he can take your weapons away. He never did that with Cotto. Cotto hung in there until the final bell and busted Mayweather up. People have been saying Canelo is a bigger, stronger Cotto. For a number of reasons, I don't think that is a fair assessment but two things in this fight are as near certain as anything in boxing can be. 1) Mayweather is the superior fighter and will make Canelo look amateurish from time to time. 2) Mayweather is most definitely NOT getting a knockout. If he can stun Canelo, he should count that as a moral victory.

May has the power that makes you 2nd and 3rd guess throwing a punch, for fear of a swift counter. At WW and above, he doesn't have the kind of power to put men to bed or make them quit on their stools.

Floyd Didn't KO Guerrero Because He Was Aftaid To Stand And Fight; Floyd Gets KO'd

The ONLY guy Floyd KO'd in recently memory was Victor Ortiz who dropped his hands to his side back out of a clinch, looking at the referee. Shame on Ortiz for not protecting yourself at all times getting sucker punched. But the last guy Floyd stopped was a smaller one dimensional, lead with your chin Ricky Hatton who Floyd struggled with all night, for 11 rounds. Floyd got bloodied and mugged going toe to toe with Cotto well past his prime for 12 rounds. Floyd nearly got stretched out in 2 rounds by a 40 year old Shane Mosley before Floyd got on his bike. Floyd ran all night taking pot shots from a far on Guerrero. Floyd gets KO'd by Canelo, so stop talking about what you think you need to do weasel. Floyd doesn't knock anybody out because that means you'll need to engage and Floyd don't like getting hit.

I think Canelo is going to quit. He is way out of his league. You can train your ass off but if you're not ready for Mayweather mentally then you are going to lose. Only someone that can outsmart and beat him to the punch has a remedy. Alvarez is going to look lost.
