I could've sworn Trout was supposed to school Canelo.

I remember a thread saying Canelo pulled out of the Floyd/Ghost undercard because he was afraid of facing Trout with a Floyd payday on the line. Quite a few regulars here supported that theory.
Then when Canelo pushed for the Trout fight against Golden Boy's wishes the many started the theory that Trout would get exposed.Bushbaby was all in on the Trout hype but to his credit he gave Canelo props after the victory.
    Of course many picked Trout.

    Many also picked Canelo.

It seems like Canelo fans are making it seem like the match-up wasn't even just so they can give him extra credit for the victory, so it then seems like he's actually done a lot to earn the fight with Mayweather. Some thought Trout would school Canelo, some thought Canelo would flatten/dominate Trout, some thought it would be competitive, some though Trout would get robbed, etc. The opinions were all over the spectrum. Canelo got the W, wonderful for him. One good opponent does not erase his previous match-ups. He did enough to get Floyd and now we'll see if he can take advantage of the opportunity. If he can't, then he better fight someone relevant afterwards.

in the end, neither are great fighters nor have they been in the ring with a true great fighter.

It still shows you the general consensus of the predictions towards the fight.

I've been saying it would be very difficult to look good vs Trout. Trout and Canelo are no bums

i was there and was close, trout landed more than you think... but i think canelo landed the better shots...

There were few people who thought Trout would school Canelo. I was 1 of them. Canelo was heavily favored in the general public and close to even on boxingscene.

Furthermore the only people who'll now say Trout is/was a bum are Floyd supporters who don't care to hear anything about anyone having any skill not named Floyd. Therefore anyone else who points out the fact that Canelo just beat a very good boxing southpaw, immediately gets criticized and Floyd fans claim however untrue that Canelo just beat a bum.

Make no mistake, it's the Floyd fan who must now call Trout a bum to discredit Canelo's win.

What sense does that make?why would Floyd fans discredit Canelo's best win? why is it always Floyd and his fans always wrong?
