Mayweather Hated On Like Ali?

I can see a similarity, haters always got an excuse....

There are good reasons, not excuses, for 'hating' both Ali and Floyd. Ali won people over by facing opponents that he was expected to lose against and by achieving what no other HW had done before him.

They hated Ali.
They hated Leonard.
They hate Floyd.

It's not a coincidence.

They were disliked for different reasons.

Ali was hated on for being an outspoken black ****** during the civil rights movement and for taking stances on important issues that would alienate him no matter what side he chose. He earned his respect by beating everyone that mattered over 20 years.

To compare that to Mayweather being hated for fights that didn't happen and whining about money is so offensive that I question the fandom of anyone that compares them.

He was not only hated for his political views. There was a lot to chose from depending on your perspective and what his actions were during his time. I don't know if i would call it the era of racist, as that word can carry century back. :bukkake:

He was difficult to watch, some would say depending if it Clay, Ali or Ali after the exile. He was not the same fighter after his 3 year exile and the boxing world wasn't thrilled about this kid named Cassius Clay.

The same way with Floyd today, and the same way with Ali until the later years of his career. If the word "Hate" steered you the wrong way, I can understand, it's a strong word. This is a terrible response by an ignorant fan. Ali was hated because he talked so much. Don't believe me? Watch the documentary with Cus D'mato. Ali is clowning the haters. He said people would be shouting "knock that ****** out he talks to much" and he would laugh all the way to the bank because their seat cost 100 dollars. haha good try tho

The mass public didnt hate Leonard, they loved him. The hardcore fans disliked him a bit, but that's happened to Oscar who was also very popular.

I think the hate for Oscar was baffling. He did get set up very nicely by top rank as he continued to collect belts, money and women. But in his prime he fought everyone that had a name at welterweight, his best weight. Took on ike quartay, Shane, Felix and also took on icon Chavez. Later down the road once he wasn't really into boxing, focusing on music, he still gave the fans rematch with mosely , destruction of mayorga, finished his business with El feroz and still gave a great effort against Hopkins.

He helped launch Floyd, made Manny a superstar.. Only fighter he did avoid was Margarito, I say this because everyone including Oscar felt that Cotto would beat tony. When tony won, Oscar really didn 't want to fight him and ended up with Manny. Thinking back, his career may have lasted another couple years had he fought Margarito at 154.

Only hate I can see is that he took time to be a singer, layoffs towards the end and for the most part he carried boxing... Then took some pictures in fishnets
