I critique everyone, I never understood those who keep saying don't ever talk bad about your own people! it makes you look like a sell out or UT. So if someone is a ducker, clown, arrogant, liar, we shouldn't criticizing them because they are the same ethnicity or race as us?Comment

Nobody will cry about Canelo outweighing Floyd by 20 lbs the night of the fight tho. Little bidtches...
I'm pissed at Floyd for giving the usual anti-Floyd pu ssy crowd an excuse to cry. Floyd should have just did 154 with a fight night weigh-in limit of 160 or 162 or something. That would have made a lot more sense...but, I truly believe Floyd doesn't care about the weight advantage as much as the 2-5 million dollars he'll take from Canelo if Canelo can't make the weight...plus the psychological warfare advantage gives Floyd one more thing he can use to his advantage.Comment

tbh..I really dont give a damn about this as much as Floyd haters with blatant agendas do!
people will take anything out of context if they want to see only bad.
if Floyd says that Pac-Cotto was a catch weight with a purpose to drain Cotto, when both fighter were very well at 147, that has not a thing to do with if for example: a 147 Pac would have faced a thick 154 Canelo and asked for a catch weight of 152..(though Pac probably wouldve said 147/150..eg Mosley, pre Floyd fight)..he would have been well within his right to do so.
and that is the difference-
Floyd is not facing another 147lber and saying..okay meet me at 144/145 catch weight..hes facing a thick necked 154lber, who comes in almost 20 lbs over on fight night!
Floyd wasnt required to fight Canelo, but he better damn sure even the playing field!
He would be crazy to come in on fight night at 152, against Canelo, without trying to make it even by having Canelo give up 2 lbs..Comment

I also wanted it at 154 for the reasons you mentioned. NO EXCUSES.
they are funny though..they say Floyd was wrong (and he was) for coming in over catch weight limit for JMM..but then they would applaud Canelo for doing the very same to him!
they think Floyd shouldve came to Canelos weight at the full 154, but Floyd was picking on a smaller JMM for "making" him come up closer to his weight!
Is Canelo picking on a smaller guy too?.or does that not apply when its Floyd!
save all that Floyd has a belt there..he fought there twice talk!!
Floyd walks around at 150..hes never weighed in at 154 when he fought there both times, once in 2007..and then with Cotto who is naturally smaller!
The hate is real!Comment

Also your point trying to justify this catchweight makes you look ignorant, it makes the catchweight worse, saying Canelo rehydrates 20 plus pounds and is thick necked? you do know that makes it worse right? makes it mean he will just have to sap even more weight from himself because the thicker and bigger you are those 2 or 3 pounds will effect you more.
So this catchweight is okay because of how big Canelo is? so draining a guy who is already bigger is not going to affect him as opposed to Cotto who was closer to 147? come on man make some sense. Canelo will be effected more than Cotto was you basically put your foot in your mouth.
Read ellerbe and floyds comments they wanted Cotto at a comfortable weight, and since Canelo is so much bigger wouldn't Floyd allow him to be at a comfortable weight at 154? no he wants to drain him.Last edited by hectari; 08-30-2013, 04:45 PM.Comment

But your article did not mention anything about 152 pounds, like we said before. Your article said that Mayweather's camp was demanding that the fight be at 147 lbs.! Only then did Canelo's camp offer a catchweight -- and the article says that Team Mayweather rejected it. So how does that scenario fit in with what Ellerbe is saying in the clip?Comment
