Good thing you're not a matchmaker since we've seen plenty of examples where the person who lost the first fight came back to win the second fight.
You obviously didn't read my comment, which explicitly stated "Mares might have the ability to beat Gonzalez."

Let's be clear: Mares can avenge his loss without fighting Gonzalez again in 2013. It's not like he just lost a 12 round war, or was knocked out in the later rounds. He was disposed of in the first round, so taking some time to digest what happened and doing everything he can to try to minimize the risk of it happening again wouldn't be a bad idea. And it would probably be an especially good idea for a guy who was being billed as a pound-for-pound contender.

There are a lot of fighters who have proven that they have balls; at some point it may become necessary for some of them to prove that they have brains too. We know Mares has balls. The open question is whether he has brains.

Warrior spirit. Not sure if he's going to win though.

Can't questions Mares's balls but this isn't a good idea

Hes gonna be open to the left hook to the body in the first couple rounds and then when Jhonny feints to the body and lands up top like hes did in the first fight, its de ja vu

It will be a make or break for him. Gonzalez is a technical fighter but with power and with Nacho on his side it's a mountain too tall for Mares. Mares doesn't have enough pop to scare anyone at 122 north. If he makes it(w/c I doubt) Id be very impressed.

              What gigantic balls.

              Respect.

Mares has stones the size of boulders.

I'm sure his promoter think the same, but Mares has too much pride and he want a immediate rematch. This is a big gamble for him and Golden Boy...

You obviously didn't watch the video if you think Mares was literally laughing at Donaire.

Did Sugar Ray Leonard show that he had no brains when he fought Duran just 5 months later?

This is going to be a repeat of the David Price situation. It's a real kick in the ass to learn the first KO wasn't just a fluke.
